Still Don't Know HIV
Even after 26 years of effort by experts to dispel myths about HIV, 47% of Americans (or at least the 1,000 Americans polled by the show for this question) still say they would not swim in a pool with someone with the virus. That's some sick shit. |

And Fendi Went Chinese...
• Irish politico Ian Paisley will not apologize for referring to gays as "repulsive". We refuse to apologize for calling him a dickhead. • Everyone's talking about how Elizabeth Edwards will be appearing at San Francisco pride. Big fucking deal. We'd be more impressed if her husband, Presidential candidate John Edwards, were to show. |

And Patrick Wolf Spoke 'Out'

As they look back on the life of the Rev. Falwell, media have an opportunity and a responsibility to reflect on the outdated, hurtful attitudes and beliefs he embodied… Newsbusters go on to accuse CNN of buying into the Falwell bashing: On Anderson Cooper 360, CNN correspondent Randi Kaye, who raised eyebrows in December for a story worrying about Saddam suffering when he hanged, shared no comparable horror at the death of Falwell. Her transcript read like a commercial for GLAAD… Anchor Anderson Cooper titled his segments "Faith and Fury," and fury was certainly in heavy rotation on CNN. If only Evangelical revisionists were in charge of the media… • America's Next Top Model's (Ms.) J Alexander warns touchy-feely fans to back off: "I knocked a lot of people in the nose and knocked a lot of people in the head and knocked a lot of people in the chest for grabbing up on Miss Jay." • California-based gay activist Larry Sprenger has died. Sprenger's work with the Municipal Elections Committee of Los Angeles helped close bath houses to stop the spread of AIDS. • CBS' Kiddie Nation proves that reality television really is for children. • St. Petersburg Pride banned! The city's just too dang busy, you see? • Wanna see some cute boys? Sure ya do! Especially when they're fine ass D&G models posing in their undies… • Just so you know, Antarctica's still melting. |

The nationals were incensed over the duo and their friend's apparent homo ways and took it out with the help of a tire iron. The force of their blows left Jefferson's skull cracked and gave Smith temporary brain damage. CBS coincidentally reports:
When the story first broke, many debated whether or not Smith and Jefferson should have actively shrouded their homosexuality, as they were in a region known for its anti-homo vibe. Of the verdict, Jefferson said: "Personally, I'm happy they reached a guilty verdict. Emotionally, it raises a lot more questions than it answers." Still, he's not entirely convinced people will get the message:
Sadly, we're sure the verdicts won't mean the end of homophobia on the island. Still, it certainly can't hurt. |

Indentified only by his nickname "Duracell," the fourth suspect in the St. Maarten gay bashing of CBS employees Ryan Smith and Richard Jefferson has been arrested — after turning himself in. He's accused of beating the two friends with a tire iron that fateful day in April and has been hiding out in St. Martin, the French side of the island. Duracell's identity hasn't been released In accordance with Dutch law prohibiting suspects to be named before they stand trial. While we await the trial – which could very well be months away – brush up on Ryan Smith's story about the attacks. Especially the part where the legal system is inherently biased against him and Richard already. St. Maarten arrests main suspect in beating of gay NYC tourists [AP] |
