They're here! And definitely queer. That's right, ladies and gents, it's time once again for non-profit Commercial Closet's Image in Advertising Awards, which celebrate positively homo inclusion in marketing and commercial ventures. This year's nominees include Dolce & Gabbana, Levi's and a host of other same-sex loving companies.

We've included this commercial for travel agency Orbitz, which has been nominated in the "Outstanding Commercial (Mainstream Market)" category. And, yes, that is model-cum-actor Marcus Patrick.

Check out the rest of the nominees - and the watch the commercials - over at Commercial Closet.

Commercial Closet - the non-profit "non-watchdog" group dedicated to celebrating and chastising pro and anti-gay ads, respectively - has announced their nominees for the 2007 Images in Advertising Awards.

Among the nominees, concerned consumers will find ads from, yes, Dolce & Gabbana, Marc Jacobs' bear-y friendly bear hug adverts, and the always gay friendly.

Meanwhile, Holiday Inn, NBC Universal and Sony Playstation have all been nominated for the dreaded "clean-up your act warning" - um - award.

army_towels_2.jpgCrocodiles keep out! But trouser snakes are welcome! These ads for Cannon Towels ran in the early 1940's, alerting Americans that there might be a shortage of bath towels on market shelves. All the goods were being sent overseas to the boys on the front lines. And what fun they were having! But there are no gay people in the military, remember.
