Ruddad Abdulgader, 19, faces a maximum sentence of five and a half years in prison for the bias-related assault charge and the second charge to which he pleaded guilty — possession of a prohibited weapon, a liquor bottle. In appearing Nov. 12 before Judge Harold Cushionberry, Abdulgader acknowledged a statement by prosecutors that he used a glass vodka bottle to strike a 23-year-old man in the face while making anti-gay remarks, knocking him unconscious in an unprovoked attack Oct. 3." A judge yesterday sentenced the Louisianian to eight consecutive life sentences for raping and murdering a number of men. Dominique previously confessed to killing nearly two dozen, but only pleaded guilty to killing eight. And his tactics were especially sick: …Dominique lured his victims with the promise of sex in exchange for money, or by showing them a picture of a good-looking woman, supposedly his wife, and saying he wanted them to have sex with her. Dominique's killing spree went on for ten years. You can be sure he'll be included in the next installment of Cold Bitches… |

A judge this week sentenced the 27-year old to life in prison for the 2007 murder of 46-year old Kenneth Cummings, a flight attendant Mangum met at a local gay bar. After leaving the bar together, Mangum went to Cummings house, where he stabbed him in the head before burning and burying the body. It was, schizophrenic Mangum says, God's plan:
The insanity plea wasn't enough to save Mangum from a hate crime charge, which accounts for his steep sentencing and makes parole a bit tricky. But he won't have to worry about that for about thirty years or so. On another note - Mangum? That's unfortunate. |

Two men were sentenced to life in prison for murdering twenty-two year old British gay man David Redman, whose body was never recovered. Said Redman's family: "Our lives will never be the same again, we will always live with the knowledge that we have never had the opportunity to draw any permanent line or put a stop to this. We have not had the opportunity and probably never will to lay David to rest in the normal sense of the word. We pray that wherever he is, that he is at rest." [Kent Online] |
