'Idol' Stripper Hernandez Does 'Ellen'

Time for some girl talk! Former American Idol contestant David Hernandez popped onto Ellen DeGeneres' show yesterday to chat about being booted from the competition, working toward a prosperous future and, yes, all the gay stripper gossip, which DeGeneres awkwardly makes Hernandez spell out for anyone who missed the scandal.

Neither Hernandez nor DeGeneres can quite understand why people care about his skin soaked past, and the comedienne showers Hernandez with praise. We think she's got a crush. Too bad Davey's more interested in dancing than fulfilling DeGeneres' straight fantasies. Poor girl.

More On Whether America Can Handle Gay 'Idol'

American Idol's faggotry got some mainstream attention this weekend.

Following male stripper David Hernandez and not-officially-out Danny Noriega's respective sackings, CNN took some time to again address the nation's most burning question: Is America ready for a gay American Idol.

Neither Noriega, nor Hernandez used the occasion to express any opinion one way or another (Hernandez says he was judged by his singing), openly gay former contestant Jim Verraro came out to talk about his personal fear of being outed - and how one's private sexuality shouldn't trump one's talent. That's kind of funny coming from Verraro, who wouldn't even be on CNN if he didn't do dudes.

Simon Cowell better keep a watchful eye on his microphone! The American Idol honcho suggested one of his co-judges tell David Hernandez they "liked the way he stripped it down," a not-so-subtle reference to Hernandez's gay stripper past. Those Brits got class! [Pop Watch]

As we mentioned yesterday, former stripper David Hernandez will remain on American Idol. Now, producer Ken Warwick has verbally coming to the singer's aid: We've had strippers on the show before. We're never judgmental about people who do things like that. If it were some sort of heavy porn, then maybe we'd have to take action. But certainly not on this." [POQ]

Seacrest's Head Rates Gay Idols

Daniel Hernandez and his stripper past cement this season of American Idol as the gayest singing competition in history. That doesn't count for much, of course, because the competition has only been around for six years. Regardless, the remaining men are uber-homo, but just how homo remains a mystery - until now!

The crazy kids over at 23/6 put together a clever Ryan Seacrest gay-o-meter, which we've included after the jump. Their blip on Jason Castro is too funny to bury down there, though (see above).

Also, some of you may be happy to hear that Hernandez will remain on the show. Group hug!

Some say that American Idol contestant David Hernandez shook his ding-a-ling for the gents:

A fabulous rumor has just surfaced that David Hernandez was a stripper in Phoenix before his time on American Idol this season. After rumors were posted around the internet that David has a steady boyfriend of 2-3 years and that he stripped at Dick’s Cabaret, pictures surfaced of David working at Burn, a gay nightclub that just recently closed in Phoenix.

C'mon! Don't act shocked that an Idol contestant made dough shaking his dick. Isn't being gay a prerequisite for this show?
