John McCain may be a bit upset with Dick Cheney today. Sure, the vice-president came out in support of McCain and running mate this weekend, telling the world he's "delighted" to back their candidacy, but that little sound byte has provided all sorts of fodder for Barack Obama's campaign, which has used Cheney's comment as the pivot point for a new attack ad on McCain's love for the Bush administration. The ad's called "Delighted." Ha! |

Not that McClellan's the most objective viewer, seeing as how he literally wrote the book about George the 2nd being a naive, goofy pawn for his father, Karl Rove, and Dick Cheney. But which of the White House cronies does McClellan continue to carry a grudge for, after all these years? |
» Sweet Mary!
While we're on the subject of pro-gay Republicans Against Proposition 8, did you know that Vice-Presidential daughter Mary Cheney, who is also a lesbian, gave $3,000 to fight the right's attempt to re-ban gay marriage? [Republicans Against 8] |

The destruction came to light during into an investigation into discriminatory politics during McGreevey's reign. Elizabeth Wong formerly of the higher Education Student Assistance Authority director Elizabeth Wong alleges that the administration mistreated her because she's Asian. Lawyers looking into the case hit a road block when they attempted to get correspondence regarding Wong. Multiple insiders say McGreevey made quite a habit of deleting messages: Sources who worked for McGreevey said they believe that, in the earliest days of his administration, the computer system was set for what they termed an "aggressive" purging schedule. The setting was designed to limit how many documents would have to be turned over to reporters seeking information under the Open Public Records Act that took effect shortly after McGreevey became governor. McGreevey has acknowledged destroying documents, but just things that "were not important". Oh, okay… |

Where Are Murtha and Dingell's Big Sticks?
[Cheney] scoffed at the idea of two men who spent years accruing power showing so much deference to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) in the big spending and energy debates of the year. Cheney sure does have a way with metaphorical words. |

• Garden State Equality and Blue Jersey will start airing some pretty clever gay marriage ads tonight. • A hefty paycheck ain't the only thing Rosie O'Donnell wants from potential employer MSNBC. From Jossip: Sources tell us the network is frantically trying to scrounge up the cash to bankroll her outlandish list of demands (Think a gold-plated trapeze and a private chopper to take her to and from 30 Rock every day. Seriously). But why now? Because MSNBC’s on the eve of renegotiating their contract with their cable provider and landing a big star (no pun intended) and proving they can go toe-to-toe with O’Reilly will give them infinitely more leverage. If anyone can take on O'Reilly, it's O'Donnell. • Michigan Supreme Court mulling university benefits. • The Scottish Socialist Party wants you to put pressure on Stagecoach buses, which attempted to boot a gay teenage couple last weekend. Re-read the original story and check out comment number two. |

• We can't have a Halloween without a little Monster Mash by Bobby Pickett & The Cryptkickers, can we? No way! • Hillary Clinton totally dominated last nights debate. • Westboro Baptists to pay $2.9 million for picketing Arnold Snyder's son's funeral. |

• Preliminary investigation begins for Larry Craig ethics hearing. Barbara Boxer says: We are in the process of conducting a preliminary inquiry, and this stage is always closed to the public. If, at the end of the preliminary inquiry, the Ethics Committee decides to move into the adjudicatory phase, any hearings held would be public unless the committee votes to close them. But that is a decision that is made after we have completed our preliminary inquiry. The Democrats are also reportedly worried public hearings will set a potentially embarrassing precedent. • More evidence of Jossip editor Rebecca Aronauer's jerky ways. |

VP's Wife Promotes New Book, Old Husband
In addition to defending her husband, calling Vice President Dick Cheney a "terrific guy", the 66-year old second lady discusses how times have changed. For example, her generation didn't always welcome the homos, "[The times] were hard on kids who were gay". No thanks to the Republican party, of course. Since birthing lesbian daughter Mary, Lynne says she - and society- have "evolved": I think the society has evolved. I've evolved in my way of thinking, but I think the whole society has evolved. You know, my mother had a rule which was people are just people. Speaking of people, Cheney's interviewer, Rita Braver, happens to be married to a lawyer who helped Cheney get published. |

Decide Not To Get Involved In Drama
Governmental flack Scott Stanzel released the White House's first statement on Senator Larry Craig: We're disappointed in what's going on. It's a matter for the Senator and the Senate Republican leadership to address. We hope that it will be resolved quickly, as that would be in the best interests of the Senate and the people of Idaho. Funny, the White House usually loves squeezing the Senate. Surely VP Dick Cheney, President of the Senate, will be involved in the matter. Maybe he's not big on gossip, or something… |

The sappho-journo found, to her delight, that Cheney Country's no more. Rosen writes, "Cheney Country no longer exists. And Wyoming is so beautiful." Now, if only we could extend the trend from coast-to-coast. |

In light of Young Republican leader and nocturnal cocksucker Glenn Murphy's resignation, the rag's asking readers which Republican they fear waking up beside. As you can see, the majority of the fag rag's online readers find Dick Cheney to be the most repulsive of the Republicunts. We definitely agree. |

The Case of The Missing Mary
Mary may have announced that she doesn't want her child to be a political pawn, but Chrisler rightly points out that allowing the White House to edit her and her lover, Heather Poe, out of the picture may be the most political move of all. |
