Australian singer Nathan Hudson came out of the closet this week. Hudson, who fronts the band Faker, told the Sunday Magazine that he hasn't always been so comfortable with his queerness: "My association with being gay was that it was bad and dark and not good for you. I had trouble finding people to look up to…"

That has all changed, of course, and Hudson says he looks forward to helping young faglings come into their own: "I’m happy to talk about being gay for that kid in the suburbs who’s 15 and scared.” Who says rockers are soulless bastards? No us!

For those of you not familiar with Faker's music, we've included the video for their latest single, "This Heart Attack".
