If life was a Russian novel by Gogol or Dostoevsky, it would come as no surprise that such an acidic tongue would ultimately be silenced by an infection of the bowels. As it is not, let's pay homage to the grandfather of snark with a couple of his more cutting zingers… |
![]() ![]() Awwww! Tom Brady's shy! The New England Patriot had started negotiations to star in a Calvin Klein underwear campaign, but now he's apparently too modest to show off his goods. At least there's always that attention whore, David Beckham. |

And she's taking to AfterEllen to vent her sartorial rage: According to most of America, gay boys are the only homosexuals who possess any taste when it comes to styling or interior decorating. We gay women have been branded as handy, conventional — even frugal. Harlt goes on to prove she's into trends by offering some green style tips, like turning t-shirts into rags. In said review, journalist Ginia Bellafonte symbolically shreds Zoe's fame and relevance, writing, Given that Ms. Zoe is already a pox on humanity — exploiting an aesthetic of dissipation, invading our collective consciousness and spraying it with dummy dust — it is amazing that “The Rachel Zoe Project,” which focuses on her career, manages to send its audience deeper into the territory of smug NPR obsessives who won’t stop ranting about triviality’s conquest of the American soul. Meanwhile, homo-journo Matt Donnelly took great offense at Bellafonte's bitchery and wrote a rebuttal lauding Zoe's cultural impact, for which we should all be thankful: Zoe is the real deal… Zoe is a seasoned stylist responsible for some of our most memorable red carpet moments. She's made It Girls out of dour ducklings, superstars out of burgeoning designers and soon will expand her own brand so you can own a slice of what she calls her "happy place." No, thank you, Zoe. We're full. |

Michelle Obama is one of People Magazine's 10 Best Dressed of 2008. The magazine calls her "Classic and Confident." Also on the list are Fergie, Anne Hathaway, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Hudson, Sarah Jessica Parker, Heidi Klum, Rihanna, Eva Mendes, and Charlize Theron. To be nice to Sarah Palin, they recognized her for her changing fashions. "(She) is causing a run on rimless glasses, peep-toe pumps and sexy secretary-like updos across the country," People says. On Michele Obama - I'm excited for her to be fully embraced by the gay community and agree that she'll eventually be a gay icon. Being one of People's Best Dressed won't hurt that. |

Marc Jacobs has been spotted wearing another designer's skirts. He said to New York Magazine, "I discovered how nice it felt to wear. They’re comfortable, and wearing it made me happy, so I bought more. And now I just can’t stop wearing them." He also says he has no plans to release them as part of an upcoming menswear collection. Bullshit. If Jacobs does release them, promise us you won't throw down cash to buy into his mockery. |

Because Wednesday night's episode left six contestants in the competition, all six presented their showcases, although there are typically only three true finalists. Pictures from each collection, along with our predictions, after the jump. |
