American Broadcasting Company did it again!

For two years in a row ABC has topped GLAAD's list of the most queer inclusive network and cable channels. FX came in second, while basically every other channel received big, fat failing marks:

At the other end of the scale, NBC, Fox, A&E, Spike, TBS, USA Network and TNT all received fail grades from the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD).

ABC — led by "Brothers & Sisters," "Desperate Housewives" and "Ugly Betty" — was given a grade of "good," with the highest score among broadcasters. The report said 24% of ABC's programming hours was considered inclusive. The report praised "Brothers & Sisters" in particular for portraying the first gay marriage on television.

Isn't it a bit sad that 24% inclusivity counts as "good?"

Moment Of Truth host Mark L. Wahlberg issued a warning to viewers that last night's episode would be "painful to watch". We didn't believe him, of course, but are forced to agree. We were floored by the excruciating anticipation of watching this girl willingly ruin her life for money! Thanks, Fox, for the sickest thrill since those pictures of Daniel Radcliffe in Equus.

In case you want to be spoiled, the girl didn't get the money. She erroneously answered "Yes" to "Do you think you're a good person?" Beautiful!

Fox debuted its lie-detector game show The Moment of Truth last night. And it was cock-tastic! Sort of…

And Less Than Subtle Racism

john-gibson-1.jpg
Fox News blow hard John Gibson recently weighed in on the Cleveland High School shooting. Hearing of the massacre - during which four people were shot - Gibson originally thought the shooter was black. The high school is, after all, primarily black. When he heard that the gun man offed himself, the albino Gibson saw the great white light:

He killed himself. Hip-hoppers do not kill themselves. They walk away. Now, I didn't need to hear the kid was white with blond hair. Once he'd shot himself in the head, no hip-hopper.

Yes, I know the shooter was white. I knew it as soon as he shot himself. Hip-hoppers don't do that. They shoot and move on to shoot again.

Black shooters don't do that; they shoot and move on.

Black American men also don't usually go on shooting rampages at school. That's primarily the white man's turf.

Newly Emmy-Awarded entertainer Kathy Griffin appeared on Larry King Live last night to discuss the censorship controversy. Not surprisingly, she planned on creating a sensation. The unabashed awards show watcher also explains to King about inviting over her gay boys. King pretends not to know what she's talking about:
Griffin: I love these award show. I watch them. I have the gay boys over. We make popcorn, you know? Ring a bell, Lar?

King: (LAUGHTER) No.

Ring-a-ling, Larry!

[This here's part one. Petulant Rumblings also posted the other two chapters.]

Religion's Role, Respect Find New Ground

Above you see video of Sally Field's acceptance speech at last night's Emmy Awards. You're not hearing Field's actual words: "If the mothers ruled the world, there would be no goddamn wars in the first place.”

Did we not just hear the first shot in the Culture War's next front??

Miller & McFarlane Sitting In A Tree?

millerwentworth.jpg
Wentworth Miller may say he's straight, but sources say otherwise. It seems the Prison Break star may be breaking it down with Brother & Sisters' Luke McFarlane, who used to date TR Knight of Grey's Anatomy. Quite the gay television cluster fuck, huh?
mcfarlaneluke.jpg
Via Perez Hilton:

Wentworth and Luke have been secretly dating for almost six months now. They’ve been very quiet about their relationship, obviously, as Wentworth is not out of the closet.

Things between the pair are so serious that the couple are talking about moving in together, we hear.

They spend a lot of time at each other’s houses. Wentworth has been pretty reclusive since he’s become famous and he’s been even more of a shut-in since he started dating Luke.

A source over at Fox, which produces Prison Break, claims Miller's been avoiding the press as of late. Why? He doesn't want to dodge any more gay questions. There's only one way to resolve that, Miller, and it ain't by sucking dick behind closed doors. Do it front of the cameras so we can all take a peek, please?
