"The attorneys general of 10 states are urging the California Supreme Court to delay finalizing its ruling to legalize same-sex marriage. The attorneys general say in court documents filed Thursday that they have an interest in the case because they would have to determine if their states would recognize the marriage of gay residents who wed in California. They want the court to stay its ruling until after the November election, when voters likely will decide whether to amend the state constitution to ban gay marriage." [SOVO] |

Chemistry.com's New Ad Campaign Hits The Spot
Dr. Warren, a former seminary student who has had several books published by Focus on the Family, an evangelical Christian group, has publicly voiced his belief that premarital sex can increase the likelihood of one’s marrying the wrong person. The site simply doesn't have the appropriate "psychological data" to pair same-sex couples. Damn our bent brains! |

Ask Court To Do The Same
Dozens of religious and faith leaders across San Diego are lending their support to same-sex marriage. On Wednesday, local ministers held a service celebrating in support of the controversial issue, filing a resolution, called an amicus brief, in the state's Supreme Court. The religious leaders from many faiths including Unitarian Universalism, reformed Judaism, Islam, and Buddhism, are among 400 others to have filed a resolution asking the court to approve the same-sex marriage licenses. Will anti-gay Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger hear their cries? Probably not, but it's the thought that counts. Image source. |
