Warner and one of her staff came under fire last week after having a laugh about a client's breast, which was made worst when people learned that the breasts in question had beat breast cancer. The incident led many homos to label her a "negative icon." Now Gatorade's pulling out from Warner's Bravo show, Work Out: We have notified Bravo we no longer wish to be associated with The Work Out [sic] and will be pulling our commercials. Furthermore, we will not renew our sponsorship of this program in subsequent seasons. No word on whether Warner will star drinking real water. If she does, well, then her career's clearly over. Only plebes and dogs drink from the tap. |

Some of the lesbian gym bunny's fans were none-too-pleased with her performance on last night's Work Out, during which she fired one of her impossibly annoying trainers. And, as a means of venting their frustration, these "fans" are petitioning Bravo to cancel Warner and her "bad behavior." Here's what one mutinous lady-lover said about Warner: Last night was the final straw for lots of fans. They feel that Jackie is a poster child for bad behavior, [a] very negative icon for the gay and lesbian community. Should lesbians act any differently, especially when being taped for reality television? We don't watch the show - reality scares us! - but these people must be overreacting, right? It's television, people! You can't have Warner running around being cuddly and cute, can you? That does nothing to quench the world's woeful interest in fabricated nonfiction. We do, however, think that Warner deserves a finger-wagging for this terrible tan job! Shame on you, Jackie! |

It's no secret that some famous gays get paid to ride on a float during the Los Angeles Pride Festival, but we were shocked to learn that Jackie Warner is getting paid $10,000 to ride on a float this Sunday for Pride. Whatever, we'd totally accept ten grand to wave for a few hours. Warner's obviously a brilliant business woman. As a gay activist willing to do right by her queer peers?? Well, not so much… [Update: The float in question's allegedly the NBC float. NBC Universal, of course, owns Bravo, the network for which Warner works (out).] |
