James Nsaba Buturo simply can't help himself! The Ugandan "Ethics" Minister, who has long pledged to fight the homosexual scourge besieging his homeland, recently insisted that anti-gay activists shouldn't fear violent repercussions because God's on their side:

Dr Buturo told Africa's Sunday Monitor that there is no need to beef up security for anti-gay activists in Uganda because God is protecting them.

"It's true gays are rough people but men of God should not fear their intimidation. Ugandans should strengthen their mobilisation against the gay movement because the government is also committed to support them," he said.

Buturo also spoke about how the gays have infiltrated local schools and are "luring" students to the lavender side.

The government and loyalists, said Buturo, should begin compiling a list of suspected queer interlopers and, you know, have a good, old fashioned witch hunt: "I appeal to the investigative arms of the government to quickly compile reports of such students and their schools so that tough action is taken against them."

Doesn't See Limits of Deportation

Uganda's Ethics and Integrity Minister James Nsaba Buturo and his homophobia keep chugging right along. The politico, who claims gay activists want him dead, vows to stop the so-called "spread" of homosexuality:

The Government shall do whatever it takes to block the spread of homosexuality.

[Gays] are trying to impose a strange, ungodly, unhealthy, unnatural, and immoral way of life on the rest of our society. I will endeavor to block it. I can assure you on that. Let them go to another country, and not here.

Poor, foolish Buturo, don't you realize that exporting gays won't do any good. There'll always be another one right behind.

Lesbians Demand Constitutional Protections

Uganda gays have been persecuted for decades. British colonialism, Idi Amin's tyrannical dictatorship and the current government's respective prohibitions on homosexuality have all contributed to the African nation's negligent gay rights laws. Or, rather, lack thereof. While hundreds have toiled in silence, two lesbians are fighting back.

Victor Mukasa and Yvonne Ooyo have filed a lawsuit against the government after John Lubega, a government official, raided their home, confiscated "gay" material and arrested Ooyo. While in custody, Ooyo claims, prison authorities verbally and sexually assaulted her: "They kept teasing me about whether I am a girl or a boy". Not only are the cops assholes, they're children.

• It took George Clooney 29-years to get a star on the Hollywood walk of fame. The Harry Potter kids, Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe and the absolutely stunning Emma Watson? Six years. That's gotta sting.

• Ugandan gay activists demand that anti-gay Ethics and Integrity Minister James Nsaba Buturo turn over his "death threats". Or else…

• The Anglican soap opera continues. The General Synod has backed a "covenant" dedicated to wrangling in gays and their liberal allies. Openly gay Bishop Gene Robinson may soon be an endangered species.

Journo Gives Ethics MP A Little Lesson On Human Rights

catfight.jpg
Ugandan Ethics and Integrity Minister James Nsaba Buturo just got a special delivery. No, this one's not an emailed "death threat" from a gay activist.

It's an open letter from Opiyo Oloya, a Ugandan journalist living in Canada. Though Oloya usually writes on music, he takes a political spin with this evisceration of Buturo's anti-gay ways. He also gives us all a lesson in deadpan delivery.
