Last night, just minutes after posting Happy Endings, we received a note from Bellini to Ireland. Read it in all it's glory, after the jump… |

Will Calpernia Addams Find Love On Logo?
MTV-owned Logo announced they'll air a series called Transamerican Love Story, which stars trans actress, Calpernia Addams. Calpernia Addams, a transgender activist, artist, actress and author, will be the prize in the Bachelor-like competition, which pits eight men against each other as they struggle to win her affection. The show, which has already been filmed, will air in February 2008 on LOGO, 365Gay's parent company. Britain's Sky One aired a similar show, There's Something About Miriam, but neglected to tell contestants of Miriam's "something". |

Human Rights Network Join Gay TV Battle
They are making a positive contribution to society. They are in charge of our choirs and we seem to be vilifying them, when in fact, they only want to live. There will always be different points of views in our society, but I don’t think that it is for the church to be on a crusade to purge the society. While we disagree with Johnson's choice of words, we're glad to hear he and his are supporting the homo's quest to rot their brain with gay t.v. |

Pastors Really Not About Logo, Logic
Calling homosexuality a "death style," Pastor Lyall Bethel and his close-minded peers reiterated their opposition to Rainbow Alliance's Logo request.
Hm, if Bethel insists on using the Spanish/Homo comparison, one could twist it say he and his are living in the gay world. We are, after all, everywhere, including Iran. |

Queer Cable Wars!
Christian Council Bishop John Humes, however, seems poised to fight an unholy war against American import, Logo. In a chat with Jones Bahamas, Humes promised to combat Rainbow Alliance, a gay group crusading for Cable Bahamas to include Logo on their roster. Employing tried and true right-wing rhetoric, Humes swears: If they are trying to think about it, we could let them know now that we will oppose it. Homosexuals can be converted and we must appreciate them as people, but their agenda has to go. No. We can’t allow them to promote their agenda because it is contrary to the word of God and it is contrary to our Christian values. We will not allow them to feel that they can promote their agenda freely in this country. Gay activists say that Hume's concerned about promotion of an "agenda," perhaps he should take a closer look at some other popular television shows. |

Logo wants to make this a viral video. How do we know? A flack sent it over with the subject: "Viral Video: I Want To Be Your Alternative Lifestyle Companion." The snippet comes from recent episode of Logo's sinfully hilarious animated series, Rick & Steve: The Happest Gay Couple in All The World. Unlike some of the gay schlock out there, Rick & Steve definitely gives us the giggles. We have to wonder, however, if "altnerative lifestyle companion" doesn't harness the homophobic "lifestyle" lexicon. We'll stick with "fag hag"… PS: We've included a longer, funnier clip after the jump. |

Snatches "Multicultural" Networking Site
In addition to AfterElton, AfterEllen and NewNowNext, the gay cable channel's acquired DowneLink.com, a networking website dedicated to "multicultural" gay communities. You know what that means: brown people. With more than 400,000 members, about 72 percent of Downelink.com users are African American, Asian or Latino/a, and the gender breakdown is balanced between men and women. No one's more excited by the buy than Downelink's founders, Danny Nguyen, Michael Abraham and Ronaldo Mabagos, who released a joint statement: “Logo has a proven track record of serving the entire LGBT community, so this was a perfect partnership that will let us serve our users even better." And, we imagine, provided a hefty paycheck. Congrats! |
