» More Sex In The City
Sex and The City may be getting a sequel. Mario Cantone wants Brad Pitt to play his boyfriend, "Brad Pitt gave $100,000 for the gay marriage law, so he should play my boyfriend in the sequel." he joked. Sarah Jessica Parker said her and writer Michael Patrick King are going to have the movie conversation "sooner rather than later." |

Michael Musto's Gonna Love This One
AfterElton editor Michael Jensen and boyfriend author Brent Hartinger cruised through the gay jungle to investigate the evil bitch gay queen. This here's the video of their harrowing journey. And, no, we don't know if the boys were on acid when they made this. We have our suspicions. |

You might know openly-gay comedian Mario Cantone either from his stand-up act or as one of the gay friends on Sex and the City. Well he could be about to enter another savage estrogen jungle as the first male guest host of The View now that Meredith Vieira has taken Katie Couric's spot on the Today show. The one obstacle to his being placed on the show could be Star Jones, because she apparently found out that Mario regularly mocks her not-gay husband Al Reynolds in his stand-up act, often going so far as to suggest that Al is not-not-gay. We think Star and Mario should settle things a la Project Runway: with a walk-off! Is Mario Cantone Heading to The View?! [D-Listed] |

The Empire State Pride Agenda, one of the country’s important gay lobbying groups, will hold its annual Fall Dinner on October 6th at the Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers. A VIP reception will be held at 6p.m. with the dinner and a live auction to follow at 8. Donors at the VIP level will have a chance to rub shoulders with celebs such as keynote speaker Al Franken, emcees Mario Cantone and Gina Gershon, entertainer Rufus Wainwright and special guests Randy Harrison and Billy Porter. You can purchase passes to the Fall Dinner here.
Meanwhile, if you can’t make the dinner, you might bookmark the ESPA website. A good resource for keeping abreast of advances and setbacks in gay rights, the site also allows you to volunteer for the organization. You can, furthermore, contact them through the site to arrange for a speaker to appear at an event you might be planning. Queerty joins you in wondering why they’re called rights if the right doesn’t want you to have them. |
