You haven't heard the last of Rod Parsley! The preacher man, who John McCain denounced last month over Parsley's anti-Islamic politics, took to YouTube last week to lament how the media and other "political hit squads" twisted his words…

John McCain encountered more preacher problems last night.

The drama started in the afternoon, when the Republican presidential hopeful denounced Pastor John Hagee, whose comments about Hitler performing "God's will" broke the camel's back.

Mere hours later McCain found himself ousting yet another unholy man, Rod Parsley, who described Islam as "anti-Christ." McCain very cleverly used the repudiation to mention that he never really accepted Parsley, anyway:

I believe there is no place for that kind of dialogue in America, and I believe that even though he endorsed me, and I didn't endorse him, the fact is that I repudiate such talk, and I reject his endorsement.

Things were all well and good when Parsley and Hagee were taking on the homos, of course.

First John Hagee came for the Catholics. And John McCain did nothing.

Then the pastor went after the gays. Again, Republican presidential hopeful McCain did nothing.

Then Hagee said that Adolf Hitler and his Nazi henchmen were performing God's will. And that's when John McCain did something.

John McCain's got a bit of a problem: his spiritual guide, Rod Parsley. Yet more troublesome footage of the anti-gay Ohioan has surfaced. This time Parsley accuses the government of "black genocide." And, yes, his theories are just as crazy as they sound. We have a feeling this will get more play than Parsley's denouncements of the gays. But, of course, it's not like black people or gay people vote Republican, so it's probably moot. [HuffPo]

John McCain recently described Cincinnati-based pastor and notable homophobe Rod Parsley as his "spiritual guide". Could this be another bid to realign McCain for social conservative consumption or just bad politics - or both?!
