(Just The One...)

Missouri Senator Kit Bond has a way with words.

Warming up the crowd at a Sarah Palin rally in Cape Guradeau, the Republican highlighted Barack Obama's love for liberal judges, including those who support "the gay."

Taking the stage as one of the pre-program speakers at a Sarah Palin rally here in Rush Limbaugh’s hometown, [Bond], fired up the crowd by warning them about Barack Obama’s judicial philosophy.

“Just this past week, we saw what Barack Obama said about judges,” Bond said. “He said, ‘I’m tired of these judges who want to follow what the Founding Fathers said and the Constitution. I want judges who have a heart, have an empathy for the teenage mom, the minority, the gay, the disabled. We want them to show empathy. We want them to show compassion.’”

And no sane person would want a judge with a heart. That would be blasphemous.

We like freedom of speech. Hell, we've made a living on it, but some right-wingers are clearly abusing their American right when it comes to Barack Obama's short campaign break, which he's using to visit his ill grandmother:

Michael Savage, Rush Limbaugh, and Jerome Corsi suggested or asserted that the true purpose of Sen. Barack Obama's current trip to Hawaii is not to visit his ailing grandmother, as Obama claims, but rather to address rumors — widely debunked — that Obama has failed to produce a valid U.S. birth certificate. However, in addition to FactCheck.org and a Hawaiian Health Department official, even Corsi's employer, the right-wing website WorldNetDaily, has reportedly determined that the birth certificate provided by the Obama campaign is authentic.

We'd say this trio should be ashamed of themselves, but they clearly don't experience such an emotion.

He may have worked for President Bush and has been friends with John McCain for over two decades, but Colin Powell lent his weight to Barack Obama this weekend, a move that's garnering him plenty of criticism from the right.

Appearing on NBC's Meet The Press yesterday, General Powell expressed his concern of McCain's economic ignorance and ever-changing, negative campaign direction before diving into full blown Obama adoration. Describing the Democrat as a "transformational figure," Powell went on to laud the Senator's "steadiness," "intellectual vigor" and "inclusiveness."

"…Our buddy Dan Abrams…he's been replaced by Rachel Maddow, or will be, in early September. He's losing his show to somebody with more testosterone than he has." - Right wing radio host Rush Limbaugh - who recently called Barack Obama a "little black man-child" - on lesbian journalist Rachel Maddow's ascension at MSNBC. Right wing radio host Rush Limbaugh employed some - um - "colorful" words while explaining the Democrats' relationship with gay and black voters during his June 23rd show:

CALLER: Hello. I want to know how the Republicans [think they] don't need Christians and conservatives, and they think we're 30 percent. Twelve percent black people in the population. Ten percent — they claim — homosexuals in the population. Rush, honey, when did 30 percent get to be a small number?

LIMBAUGH: I don't — I think it's actually larger than 30 percent. But let me see if I can get your question right. You want to know why the Republicans are willing to say, "Screw you," to 30 percent or more of their voters and yet Democrats will bend over, grab the ankles, and say, "Have your way with me," for 10 percent and 2 percent of the population?

Limbaugh later boiled down his reply to one word: "money."

Hillary Clinton's campaign may come to an end this week. And, on the eve of a decisive primary, we can't help but wonder if she made a fatal mistake: downplaying her femininity.

The John McCain lobbyist scandal continues to unfold today. Some claim the NY Times published that unflattering, sensational lobbyist story for political purposes.

The implicit suggestion is that the Times wanted to take out the Republican's wobbly conservative support. These predictions, however, may have fallen flat.

Republican presidential candidate John McCain received a cold reception at yesterday's Conservative Political Action Conference. Speaking a few hours after Mitt Romney dropped out of the race, the crowd of right wingers offered some very vocal opposition to the Senator from Arizona.

What sounds like boos may be a Republican death rattle. And that rattle only grew louder this morning.

Gays, Blacks Hate Father Figures

Mark Belling sure does love his men. The conservative radio host - who once referred to Latinos as "wetbacks" - used his air time guest hosting Rush Limbaugh's show to criticize a Vermont judge for granting Janet Jenkins visitation rights for the daughter she had with former lesbian lover, Lisa Miller.

Deriding the decision, Belling quibbed:

Can a baby have two mothers? It's a new concept for us. And I'm not sure it's an especially healthy one. First of all, it demeans the entire notion of fatherhood, implying that a father is an absolute irrelevancy, a concept that has destroyed many black families, the idea that we simply don't need have to have any male role model in the life whatsoever.

Do black people really think men are irrelevant? We're pretty sure there are people who would disagree. Like black fathers. Also, if Belling counts himself as a male role model, count us out.

Blogger Jon Swift just sent us an email with a link to an article he claims a reader had sent him in response to his piece, the explosively entitled, "Tim Hardaway Makes Homophobia Look Bad". Obviously we read that piece before checking out the aforementioned link, so let's take a few seconds to work it over.

First and foremost, it's worth mentioning that Swift describes himself as "reasonable conservative" whose only news comes from Fox News, Rush Limbaugh and Jay Leno. He must have gotten his lines crossed, though, because in this particular piece, he references CNN's Wolf Blitzer. While covering the Tim Hardaway scandal, Wolfe apparently likened queers in the locker room to queers in the military. Like any good conservative sports fan, Swift took the ball and ran.

What's misleading about the above photo is that Rush Limbaugh is now incapable of having sex with any of those sexy women standing around him, because the authorities at the Palm Beach airport confiscated the illegal bottle of Viagra in his bag.

Not only is this story hilarious, but it also could mean trouble for Mr. Limbaugh, who was on probation following his conviction for "doctor shopping." Possession of illegal Viagra is a second-degree misdemeanor, and could potentially mean higher penalties because of his former charges that resulted from addiction to painkillers.
