Lesbians Trade First Gay Nups At Taj Mahal

Two Swedish lesbians broke a barrier in India this weekend when they married at the Taj Mahal:

The young women, Sara and Sandra had been living together in India's national capital, New Delhi for past one year and 'solemnized' their marriage according to the Vedic rites and rituals.

The newly married couple said that they were extremely happy to get married in the city of Taj Mahal, the monument of love and one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

According to Baba Dharam Das, the temple priest said that although he had some misgivings, when the two women said that they are in love with each other and wanted to get married, he solemnised the marriage.

"These two foreigners came here and said that they want to get married according to the Hindu rituals. They said that they would get married and it would be a woman-woman marriage. I conducted the marriage and they are happy now,"said Das.

More Anti-Gay Attacks, Churches Vandalized In Stockholm

Major shit's going down in Sweden. Two more men were attacked in an anti-gay hate crime, the second since EuroPride began in Stockholm last weekend.

The two men were enjoying a night out in downtown Stockholm and were sitting outside Seven-Eleven on Klarabergsgatan at 4.20am on Wednesday morning when they were attacked.

"Three men approached them saying humiliating things and then started to assault them without provocation. They mentioned the Pride festival and that the men were gay," said Bo Olsson at Stockholm police to Sveriges Nyheter.

The three suspects were caught and arrested at around 5am. The men are reported to be between 17 and 20-years-old.

Additionally, multiple queer inclusive churches that sponsored EuroPride have also been covered in fliers denouncing the gays.

Couple Attacked, One Stabbed At Stockholm EuroPride

The ten-day, tenth-annual EuroPride festival got off to a rocky, violent start in Stockholm this weekend.

A male gay couple were stabbed and robbed during Stockholm's EuroPride festival in what police described Monday as a hate crime.

"Two homosexual men were stopped by three men and were asked directions. The three asked them about their sexuality and then stole their mobile phones and money. One of them was then stabbed in the stomach," Stockholm police spokesperson Towe Haegg said.

The attack late on Sunday "is considered a hate crime", she said, adding police believed the perpetrators had targeted the couple, aged 25 to 30, because they were gay.

EuroPride organizer Jonah Nylund described the attack as "serious." Indeed.

A Swedish bomb squad called out to disarm a suspicious package on Wednesday did not find a ticking bomb. But they did find a vibrating sex toy.

A janitor alerted police after he found the package in a garage of an apartment building in Goteborg, the country's second-largest city, police spokesman Jan Strannegard said.

The package was humming and vibrating suspiciously, so police took no chances and sent out a team of explosives experts.

After having evacuated and cordoned off the area, they opened the package with bomb disposal equipment, only to find the battery-operated device inside.

[Said Strannegard] "The package was vibrating when the janitor found it, but I think it had sort of died out by the time it was disarmed."

Gay Basher May Have More Victims

Repeat Offender Cripples 44-Year Old?

An anti-gay attacker may have a homo-hating past, according to Swedish police.

The unidentified 35-year old remains in custody after allegedly beating a 44-year old man last Friday. The men reportedly met on a gay website - a website the assailant may have used to find a number of victims. Says copper Mikael Ekman:

We've looked at his internet use, and he has given his phone number and arranged meetings with other.

What we don't know is whether the meetings actually happened and what they led to…

With this kind of crime, people cherry pick their victims. He is choosing people whom he believes will not make reports. In a way he might be right, because it's not so easy to open up to the police.

The aforementioned 44-year old remains in stable condition, but may be crippled by the unfortunate incident.
