We present to you the Oozinator, likely a perfectly safe and entertaining children's toy. Until you put it into a gay context — and then it's borderline child porn.

Even if He-Man action figures had more staying power than the cartoon that went with them, there is some magic in that old, budget animation. While the action figures can take on whatever personality traits their owner desired (and we desired for He-Man to lie in various baroque poses on the floor of our bedroom), the cartoon injected a very specific idea of masculinity into the characters that no little kid could muster on their own.

Adam He-Man

He-Man's alter-ego is a lavender-tights-wearing pansy who tranforms into the ultimate tan fitness god: a man who isn't afraid to say "I'd like to hear more about this hooded seed-man of yours!" Perhaps it titillated our six-year-old self enough to keep us watching, or maybe there were just so many action figures to collect that our compulsive tendencies arose even at that young age.

We haven't seen a He-Man cartoon in many years, but Slate explores what it's like for the most devout fan to revisit his beloved fantasy world more than twenty years later and realize something shocking: He-Man is totally gay.

Amanda Lepore MM

Amanda Lepore, everyone’s favorite plastic tranny, is one-upping our girl RuPaul and going plastic once more. This time instead of having work done on face, she’s getting a doll version of herself. And there is not just one, but three in this series: Out Gear by David Barton doll, Couture Baby doll, and Fairytale Glam doll. No word on if they come with their own collagen lip injections.

But if anyone outside of New York wants them, they’re going to have to make a pilgrimage to the Holy Land of trannies, NYC. They’re going to be available exclusively at Jeffrey.

barbie and ken

Barbie has taken a beating recently. Back in 2004 she split from Ken and since then she has watched her status as the top selling fashion doll edged out by the Bratz dolls. You know the Bratz dolls. They are the freaky dolls with the freakishly big heads. They’re basically Amanda Lepore dolls.

Well Barbie has seen the light of day and it appears the separation from Ken is ending. They’re back together. But as our reader Bill realizes, “Oh, dear. Ken and Barbie have reunited. The redesigned Ken is described as ‘Matthew McConaughey meets Orlando Bloom.’ How gay! He wears mesh shirts and cargo pants and has a ‘softer mouth.’ EEEEEEEK!”

Yep, it’s official: Barbie is a beard.

Mr. Gisby's Totally Gay Pet Shop

Andrew Georgiou is the the mastermind behind the world's #1 gay comic strip: Mr. Gisby's Totally Gay Pet Shop. The Australian artist recently caught up with Bradford Shellhammer and answered some of Queerty's totally gay questions.

Who is Mr. Gisby and where did he come from?
Randall Seymour Gisby was born in Spain and vilified by a homophobic pit bull terrier at an early age. To cut a long story short, Mr. Gisby vowed to create a safe haven for all creatures great and small…and gay. So with the money he collected from the lawsuit against the pit bull, Mr. Gisby opened his gay animal haven, Mr. Gisby's Totally Gay Pet Shop.

Tell us about the strip.
The strip started three years ago as a series of bent scribbles and ideas I had for some twisted gay animals. The strip bases itself on one-liners using a variety of gay animals and gags, however there are also seven main characters who are reoccurring and the star players at the pet shop. These include a leather fetish gorilla, dominatrix chicken, bisexual echidna, a tranny-saurus, and a couple of other twisted creatures. Right now Mr. Gisby's Totally Gay Pet Shop appears in over 100 cities worldwide, so there are a lot of gay animal lovers out there, keeping the strip alive and growing. It's officially the biggest gay comic in print and very big in Europe in particular.

Can I be in the comic? I make a very gay and very cute cartoon.
Yes you can , so long as you sign a confidentiality clause and agree to play a bisexual / hermaphrodite anaconda with issues.

Where can we catch the strip in the US?
Currently in Qvegas magazine, Word magazine, TWN, Gaytimes, Windy City Times, and of course online at mrgisby.com.

After the jump Andrew talks about bedding models, his dream cast, and his favorite Pet Shop Boys album.

The Christmas season is hard upon us. Unlike years past, when deciding what to give a tranny friend was a hell of wigs and thongs, this year the decision has practically been made for you, thanks to Out 100 hero Jason Wu, a creative force behind the RuPaul doll. Advertised as being 99% plastic, 1% woman, the RuPaul doll is actually 100% fabulous, and may in fact be freely given to anybody on your list, from the card-carrying cross-dresser to little children who will benefit from learning about tolerance.

Wu explains that “The dolls were sculpted to RuPaul’s exact facial and bodily measurements. Photos were taken of Ru's face from every angle, then downsized and realized into a waxsculpture.” Six different models are available, each marking a different stage in Ru’s career: Supermodel, Red Hot, Glamazon, Workout, Glamazon (The RuMix), and Foxy Lady.

Because the live RuPaul towers over other supermodels at 6’4”, a veritable hunk of manwoman, the RuPaul doll was made 13”, to keep Barbie and her rabble in their places. Each model of the RuPaul doll comes with a couture wardrobe, which the manufacturer guarantees will make all the other dolls envious. So get in the holiday tranny spirit, buy a RuPaul doll, and sing the Ru classic Ho Ho Ho.

Angry Smurf

One trend we touch upon often at Queerty is the urban toy trend. And if one is into urban toys then one must go to Kid Robot. They have shops in New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.

Kid Robot sells toys. But not the toys you think. These are limited edition, pieces of art. Kid Robot puts it this way:

“The Urban Toy scene was born in 1997 when designer Michael Lau showed up at a Hong Kong toy show with a handful of GI-Joes he’d customized into hip-hop street fashion figures. Things exploded from there, and artists from Hong Kong and Japan began making their own limited toys, mostly in rotocast vinyl. Many of these toys are still made for small retail stores in Asia. Each shop has its own particular artist that they support, and competition can be vicious. Kid Robot carries toys produced by most of these stores in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan.”

And we cannot get enough. Our favorites are the Visionaire series designed by Gucci, Martin Margiela, and Valentino amongst others. We also adore the Warhol kubrick, the Marc Jacobs Scullhead, and the Angry Smurf. Toys aren’t just for kids anymore.

Eames Lounge Chair

We are Eames junkies. It is alright to admit. We want everything they ever designed. Hell we have a lot of it already. But we want more. It is sad. It is an addiction. Like Tasti D.Lite. But a lot more expensive.

Charles and Ray Eames are among the most important designers in America history. Their list of creations include architecture, furniture design, industrial design and manufacturing, and the photographic arts. The husband and wife team created a series of furniture pieces that have stood the test of time and remain icons of design, embracing function and beauty in equal parts.

Herman Miller manufactures their design in the US. Vitra in Europe. We suggest you hunt down these pieces, either new or on eBay: Eames lounge chair, the plywood lounge chair, the hang-it-all, the RAR rocker, the aluminum management chair (which we sit at at Queerty), and the $7,000 Eames La Chaise.

On a budget? The Eiffel base side chair is $200 new and even less on eBay. Or opt for Kid Robot's Eames Kubrics. They are a great way to start an urban toy collection or the perfect gift for any design enthusiast.

Gay Empire

We love toys. We're not talking about sex toys, you filthy mind. But real toys. For years as kids we forced our Star Wars and G.I. Joes into homosexual positions when no one was looking. Toys allowed us to act out our gay urges even then.

And so that is why we love Suckadelic. Our friends over at Gama-Go sent us the link yesterday and guess what? The toys suck. But in a strange way we love them. Especially the Gay Empire powder pink storm trooper. We have this nephew with a lisp and this is just the gift!
