The Devil's In The 'Details'
Between this and Out's "gay" debate, queer colloquialisms sure have been getting turned out. Too bad they're not getting worn out, huh? No wonder Details lists The Other F-Word's age as "forever young" |

[Thanks William, you're a super gay star! Emphasis on the 'gay'.] |

• Yes, that is an uncomfortable bathroom experience. • Stop calling Kanye West "gay". |

Need To Learn How To Contain Scandal
MSNBC must really have Tucker Carlson's back. Or they're desperately trying - and failing - to stop a scandal. Carlson first came under fire after admitting he once assaulted another man after the man "grabbed him" in a public toilet. Then Carlson and his MSNBC flacks released a statement "clarifying" the matter. Like a game of telephone, however, some of the facts got dropped in that statement. For example, the fact that Carlson "bashed" the man's head in. Then, some crafty video editing removed the comments all together, says Media Matters: …Both August 29 re-airings did include Carlson's claim that he had been "bothered in men's rooms," neither broadcast aired the portion in which Carlson claimed that he "went back with someone" and "hit him against the stall with his head." Both re-airings did include a portion of the segment in which Carlson asserted, "I'm not anti-gay in the slightest." Of course they did. |

Doesn't Have Much Of A Memory
Let me be clear about an incident I referred to on MSNBC last night: In the mid-1980s, while I was a high school student, a man physically grabbed me in a men's room in Washington, DC. I yelled, pulled away from him and ran out of the room. Twenty-five minutes later, a friend of mine and I returned to the men's room. The man was still there, presumably waiting to do to someone else what he had done to me. My friend and I seized the man and held him until a security guard arrived. That's not quite the story Carlson told last night. He told the world he "Hit him against the stall with his head." Now he's saying he and his friend "held him". What, can't you get your own story straight, Carlson? |

Beat 'Em Good And Hard!
MSNBC's Tucker Carlson took to Dan Abrams' airwaves last night to discuss the Larry Craig case. Besides swearing "I'm not anti-gay" about a billion times, Carlson informs us all that he's been "bothered" in a public bathroom. His reaction? He grabbed him - and then beat him up. Oh, Carlson, you're so virile! |
