Did someone forget to take their disco nap? Neil Patrick Harris didn't look very pleased during the photo call for HRC's Ally Awards last night.

Meanwhile, George Takei's sudden case of permasmile left guests wondering about his acting future, to which Takei replied, "I guess I'll just have to be type cast: gay!"

Project Runway winner Christian Siriano seemed the gayest to be there. Speaking of smile happy PR alums, why did WireImage credit designer Nick Verreos as an "actor". Even more importantly: what would Shakespeare say about reality shows?

HRC also wrangled wild woman Judith Light for last night's Ally Awards. The Ugly Betty actress seemed randy as ever and got rather cozy with Point Foundation's Jorge Valencia. Hot new couple alert? Speaking of hot couple - check out Ricki Lake's diamond earrings. We're not crying, baby!

Old friend and Ally honoree Anne Hathaway loomed large over HRC honcho, Joe Solmonese, who later gave Miss California Raquel Beezley a bit of a squeeze at the actual ceremony. Do we smell another political sex scandal?

The always handsome John Amaechi also joined the fun and Thea Gill flaunted her seamless skin. And, of course, it wouldn't be a gay event until Wilson Cruz starts the so-called party. Thus it was done…

See the pictures - in that order - after the jump…

Thousands of conscientious citizens and celebrities - they're not really citizens - meandered through sunny Los Angeles yesterday for the 23rd Annual AIDS Walk. Actor TR Knight and a slew of equally famous friends - Ana Ortiz, Wilson Cruz, Jai Rodriguez, Deidre Hall (!) - helped raise $3,905,723. No small feet!

The battle rages on, of course. Said Knight:

Even though we read a lot that things are changing in this fight against AIDS, it's so easy to get lulled into a false sense of security - especially the younger people who are just exploring their sexuality. Whether you're gay like me or straight or anywhere in between, I think we need to continue to teach each other and talk to each other especially if our parents or our schools don't do an adequate job. I think that's the way to fight it.

Knight's got so much sole. (God we kill us!)

We've put some pictures after the jump and AIDS Walk posted some, too.

We're surprised HX Media has any employees left to fire. They just canned long-time expo producer, Steven Levenberg and gave four other employees the pink slip at the beginning of the year.

Now we hear that Matthew Bank has yet again sacked three more underlings: online editor Martyn Dunn, advertising director Brandon Schultz and graphic designer Christian Jensen. For those of you keeping count, that's eight this year. So, what the hell's going on over there? We don't know, but it can't be good.

What is good, however, is this week's interview between assistant editor Mark Peikert and Wilson Cruz, in which Cruz gabs about his role opposite Debbie Deborah Gibson in the new movie, Coffee Date. We won't give away what went down, but we will congratulate Peikert for having the best interview opener ever:

HX: I have to apologize because I’m sick and will be hacking in your ear.
Wilson Cruz: Babe, we’re gonna be hacking together, because I’m getting over a cold, too.

What a perfect addition to the rag's Valentine's issue - which, incidentally, also has a gift guide from another contributor, Jono.

(Note: We erroneously credited Ryan Doyle with the Cruz interview. It was actually Mark Peikert who hacked it up. Sorry, Mark. We love you.)
