Tancredo Comes Out Against Gay Marriage

tancredotom.jpg
Long shot Republican presidential candidate Tom Tancredo called for a federal ban on gay marriage today. Speaking in Iowa, where a judge recently allowed and then stopped gay marriage, Tancredo vowed:

The commitment of a husband and wife to love one another promotes the welfare of children and the stability of society. Government, by recognizing and protecting marriage, serves the interests of everyone in Iowa. The State Legislature and the people of Iowa need to take their power back from this activist judge by passing a Constitutional amendment which protects traditional marriage.

Can’t the Republicans think of something more clever than “activist judges”? What about “renegade judges” or “poopy pants know it alls”?

“The commitment of a husband and wife to love one another promotes the welfare of children and the stability of society.” Is he saying that a love of a same sex couple cannot do the same? We need to put all our efforts into getting rid of the Republicans.

What Iowa really needs to do is stop inviting loons like Tom Tancredo to speak.

The commitment of a husband and wife to love one another promotes the welfare of children and the stability of society. Therefore, we should encourage all wannabe husbands and wives to commit to each other immediately. Yup. Go marriage.

Oh, wait, that’s not what he’s saying?

Willie: You are correct. They are looking at the sanctity of “marriage” but not the sanctity of our children’s lives.

When I read hateful homophobic crap like Trancredo’s, that can only mean one thing: I see a bathroom bust or gay escort story in his future!

It’s a slippery slope. If Gay Marriage is allowed, the next thing you know, people will be back asking the government for permission to Marry their pets and farm animals.

Enough is Enough
