Queerty is better as a member
3 cheers for another young, gay hero. Every kid who comes out makes it just a little bit easier for the next one.
I think his hairdo had already come out as a 1980s lesbian! I joke (badly).
Good luck to him!
Good for Mikey, and I’m glad his experience has been so positive.
Having said that, I do take exception to the idea that people evolve into supporters of equality if they only meet or get to know someone who is LGBT. In some cases that is true, but in many cases religious belief trumps love for friends, family or fellow man. This I know from personal experience, but I’m glad that Mikey has had an all together different experience.
Congratulations to Mikey. I’m so glad your coming out process has been so positive . . . . so far. I’m sure you are strong enough to deal with the losers and a-holes who will still want to hate on you. I hope your example will give hope and encouragement for all those other young gays, lesbians, and trans folk who are still trying to deal with coming out , or the after effects of having done so – (and give hope to the older folk who haven’t yet been able to feel safe enough to do so). Thanks for doing your part Mikey!
@PRINCE OF SNARKNESS aka DIVKID: I just don’t understand people like you. Here’s an article about a terrific, exceptional young man and you have to say something nasty about his hair. Good joke or bad, what’s the point? Is your life so pathetic that you can’t stand to see someone else’s happiness and success?
