PACKING IT ON

Texas Republican Eats His Homosexuality

jeremy schwabSay hello to Republican weirdo Jacob Schwab (pictured at center.)

According to Texas activists, he’s the actor (yes, really, an actor) responsible for the state GOP adding a “reparative therapy” plank to the party platform. That’s weird enough … but just wait, he gets far, far weirder.

Commenting on his ex-gay background, Schwab wrote, “I think in some ways food replaced sexual sin for me and now I can’t even get into my own pants.”

Oooooookay. So because this guy eats away his feelings, he wants to subject people to ex-gay abuse?

Let’s be totally clear about what “reparative therapy” really is: it’s fake. Not real. Doesn’t work. At best, it’s a form of torture that destroys people.

Schwab is also the founder of an ex-gay group called Joel 2:25 International. “Reparative Therapy and this type of ministry work played a significant role in saving my life and I have been blessed to help many others over the past four years,” he wrote.

So, how’d Schwab wind up trapped in the ex-gay lifestyle? Well, he apparently had a run-in with dangerous quack Joseph Nicolosi. Nicolosi is technically a “doctor,” in that he has a degree and patients, but he subjects people to unproven, made-up, junk-science, pray-away-the-gay abuse.

Schwab was referred to a camp called “Journey into Manhood,” which sounds like a double-entendre joke from 30 Rock, but is actually a real thing. Since we know that Nicolosi’s patients claim to be ex-gay but actually have lots of homo sex behind his back, we can only assume that Journey into Manhood is exactly what it sounds like.

As for Schwab, here is a picture of him with Golden Girls star Rue McClanahan. The end.
