They’re all the same at heart. I’m shocked to see Jason running around town, spouting his gayness so proudly. Just a few short years ago, he was a leader in his high school’s bible group and actively worked against the school’s gay-straight alliance. He challenged out, proud, gay students to debates about their rights and safety in the very school he attended. I only hope Jason looks back and is thankful for those who worked so hard, so early, to make it safe for him to come out, whenever he chose to do so. My point is, Jason, like many others (alledgedly Mr. Crist) have their roots in self-hatred and cowardice. Perhaps this was the topic of his and Mr. Crist’s pillow talk. Let us give the politicians the same patience Jason’s classmates have afforded him. No one can drag anyone out of the closet, we can only hope for allies (be they gay or straight) instead of enemies.

Dennis, Seriously, Larry Craig put his sweaty all into supporting us, he just did from behind! So in reality we get the “shaft” twice from the likes of Craig and Crist. Once in the bathroom anonymously, (in front of some 10 year old kid know doubt), and once on the Senate floor as he lectures us about Family values. Does anyone know if Larry is divorced yet? Is it just me?, I am offended by anyone wanting public sex in a bathroom that potentially exposes oneself and this activity to small children, all the while he is in DC ranting about protecting children from Gay’s and Lesbians… Maybe Crist can pass a law the outlaws this hypocrisy! Or maybe not, or maybe an earmark that allows an exception to the Tampa, Miami, and Jacksonville airports!

Sorry, but what did Larry Wide-stance EVER do for GLBT’s except vote against our interests/rights? What behind the scenes support did he offer(?), show some proof or you’re just spinning B.S. And from what I understand, Crist’s GLBT support record is mixed a best.

So to everyone talking about the term “Fag” being used I wanted to say a couple of things. Please don’t get mad just wanted to see what people think. As a Black gay man I use the N word as a term of endearment as well as to describe uncouth blacks. If I say that’s my nigga, its endearment, but if I say look at that ignorant ass nigga I’m talking shit.

I feel the term fag is used in the exact same context. If some of you don’t like the term it’s probably b/c 1) you act like a silly fag or 2) some straight guy has called you one. Me personally, I would and have kicked a straight guy’s ass for calling me a fag, but like I tell some of my black brothers if you act like an ignorant ass nigga people are going to call you one and some of the change needs to come from within…so now I say to my gay brothers…if you act like a queenie fag getting your twirl limp wrist all the time then people are going to call you a fag…and maybe you/we need to do some self reflection?

btw if some of you really thing straight people are ever going to stop saying fag you’re dreaming…

Well folks, I can certainly understand where Charlie Crist is coming from, no pun intended. Ouch! So lets all vote for him because we need another Homosexual in office to replace our good friend and behind the scenes supporter – Larry Craig. Larry looked out for us (on the down low of course). We should all have the good taste to not expect Charlie to stand up for us when the lynch mob comes. But of course he is more than willing to drop a load or two on us if at all possible! And the children in those hellholes have to get up in the morning and go to school just like you did. All the more reason to work for change — and to work to dislodge their persecutors.

Thanks for calling my home a “gay hating hell hole”, Michael. Here in South Florida, there is a huge LGBT community. We take care of each other and generally have good raport with the community-at-large. Key West has long been known for it’s laid-back “live-and-let-live” vibe. And, Fort Lauderdale/Wilton Manors numerous gay owned and operated businesses.

Please, however, don’t plan on visiting. Based on your over-generalized and highly negative post, I’d be willing to bet you wouldn’t be very much fun to be around.

Yeah, he’s a big ole closet case, and yeah, it’s no secret. The fact remains that as governor, Crist has been a fuckload better than Jeb Bush ever was. For the first time in recent history, the elections weren’t preceded by a massive removal of voters’ eligibility among groups that were considered more likely to vote for the democrat (and look who won). He’s trying to undo some of the damage Jeb did to the state’s educational system. And when GWB wanted to come down and joint campaign with him for the Florida repubs in mid-term elections, Crist skipped town – BEFORE ditching the monkey-boy was the standard republican strategy. I admired that.

Having said that, I now have to go wash my hands in ammonia and disinfect my keyboard for having typed ‘Crist’ and ‘fuckload’ in the same sentence. eeeeew!
