That’s Rupert Everett?
Whiny, aging gay adoption foe and serial complainer Rupert Everett, who is currently being tolerated in Broadway’s Blithe Spirit, may not care much about equality, but he certainly cares about surface level beauty. Glancing at the “new face” he revealed on Martha, a plastic surgeon (whose industry benefits from this type of speculation) insists Everett had a face lift and is enjoying a regimen of Botox. He’s barely recognizable to us — and that’s a compliment. Finally, Rupert, something you can be proud of.
This is really him? How disgusting. He looks like a wax statue of himself.

He looks awful. Well, to be fair he looks fine; just doesn’t look anything like him and that is the problem.

He looks horrible. He looked SO much better before. What a fool. And he’s always criticizing other gays for adopting , marrying, etc…he’s gross.

Shaddup, shaddup shaddup!!! Y’all are haters. Yeah, the man is kind of a giant douche, but at least admit that he has vastly improved, at least on the superficial aesthetic level. And be real – we’re gay, the outside is all that matters. I agree with flightoftheseabird, but fail to see why not looking like yourself is a problem, as long as the new look is an improvement.

His face has lost character and expression. Plastic surgery is a gamble; maybe in time Rupert will look better, but I liked the old Rupert.

@Joe: Ruggedly handsome? Nuh uh. Sean Connery is ruggedly handsome; poor mister Everett looked like Droopy Dog. Now, he looks younger, more radiant, and not in the least bit plastic! Look at the eyes, and the laugh lines – his face still moves! I’m just sorry what whoever did this exquisite work will probably be retired or dead by the time I’ll need his services.

All that money or surgery and still has a 5 cent hair colorist. The hair on the right looks colored on top on the left colored all over with orange highlights. Very NJ outlet mall looking.

@Jeff Atwood: Absolutely that picture is not accurate. The live version of Martha’s show CLEARLY shows he has not Botox in his forehead as it goes up and down more than an elevator. While he may have had SOME work done, it clearly is NOT what is depicted in the picture. Having just seen him last week in Blithe Spirit on B’way, I can attest he looks more like the man on the left than the freak on the right!

People that get plastic surgery never really look younger, they just, well, look like they’ve had plastic surgery.

If he is going into the witness protection program I would say good job. Otherwise, I really don’t believe the photo on the left is even him. Even with all of Madonna’s work and like it or not, you still have no doubt its her. I always thought that plastic surgery was for when either nature was unkind, accident victim and maybe a subtle minor improvement like excessively drooping eyelids or pinning ones ears back. Those are things one can hardly even tell a lot of the time. But if its really obvious then no. It just comes off as either excessive vanity, insecurities and self loathing. I miss the days when people aged naturally. Plastic surgery is an out of control industry.

He doesn’t look THAT different on the video, and his face actullay moves, even his forehead, so there may be some botox there, of course, but just the right dose.

Are we looking at the same picture? He looks like a wax figure of someone, and yes, looks are what initially attract us to someone but it’s such a small part of the over all “picture”. I pity you. You are as pathetic and empty as Rupert is.

That was one sexy guy….I think it was when he became bitter and cruel he became less attractive.
