Linda Harvey's middle name should be "horrific". This hate-mongering mama and friend of Alan Keyes has no qualms spouting ridiculously frightful anti-gay rhetoric, particularly when it comes to HIV/AIDS. The plague, of course, can be pinned on us gays. Says Harvey:
The major cause of HIV and AIDS in the U.S. has been and remains male homosexual behavior. The next largest transmission category is intravenous drug use, followed by high-risk heterosexual contact. This last group consists of people who have had sex with anyone who falls into the first two groups. If we eliminated homosexual male sex and intravenous drug use, HIV would be reduced by at least three fourths in this country. Both are unnecessary, chosen behaviors. Schools need to make sure this point is absolutely clear in the minds of every student in health education.
Harvey isn't content on taking on the gays, but those who support the gays, too. Harvey says gay-friendly Christians have "distorted" God's supposed word. And, what's more, they're not "compassionate," but "heartless".

The Canadian voices of spiritual violence were from the Roman Catholic hierarchy – now completely uberconservative reflecting the retirement and replacement of all liberals by the former and current pope. We won the spiritual debate. How? When Canada's largest Protestant denomination was the loudest voice for LGBT marriage and civil rights, the secular activists – the pols and the jurists – could fight each other.
