The Awesome Extramarital Affair of Bigoted Irish Lawmaker Iris Robinson

We’re not terribly familiar with Ireland’s politics, but when you tell us a lawmaker there, Iris Robinson, is ravaging a 19-year-old Kirk McCambley, and even gave him money, and is thus cheating on her husband, and is the same woman who compares homosexuality to pedophilia, and thinks gays can be cured … well, you’ve piqued our attention.

And, apparently, Attitude magazine, which is offering McCambley, now 21, its cover.

What do you think of this post?

Boy this is turning into a Good Gay news day. First word
gets out that the ugandans are eating their young (literaly)

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/new.....tuals.html

And yet another rightwing lunatic who finds everything wrong
with the Gays yet doesn’t seem to think that those same
morals which “entitles” them to publicly hate on Gays applies
to how they lead their own lives……………..

Just so you know, Iris Robinson is an MP in the House of Commons (the British legislature) as she’s a Democratic Unionist from Northern Ireland (she’s actually the wife of the First Minister of Northern Ireland, the DUP’s leader). The DUP are a conservative party (though so is most Northern Irish politics) committed to Northern Ireland remaining part of the UK. So her fall is nothing at all to do with “Ireland’s politics”, if by Ireland you mean the Republic/Eire (which this article implies).

This is still such great schadenfreude. Although it’s sad that she apparently suffers from depression and even tried to take her own life, it just shows how vilely hypocritical these hard-right bigots truly are.

You need to be clear that the bigoted Mrs. Robinson is/was a politician in Northern Ireland as distinct the Republic, which should spared the ignominy of her supercillious hypocrisy.

Read the story on the sacrifice of children in Uganda (to create money juju!). And by sacrifice, I mean children kidnapped, their hearts ripped out and brought to the local witchdoctor. Hmmm. This is the country that wants to create the moral paradigm for the world? THIS has been going on under the noses of American “missionaries” while they obsess about poor gay people in that country? What have the missionaries been doing in that country (or elsewhere) all this time?

If Uganda wants to improve its standing in the eyes of the world, and I mean this most sincerely, their best course of action is to throw out all the whacko Christian “missionaries” and align themselves with European Enlightenment. It works. It’s what made the West prosperous. Freedom pays. The brand of Christianity they’ve been betting on is what made the West dark, dirty, and poor for centuries after the Roman Empire fell.

Ugandans, open your minds and hearts. Don’t be fooled by the “missionaries.” They are the very worst of the West. They will make you afraid of your own shadows. And they will subjugate you worse than anyone else. And when all is said and done, they will keep you poor.

This hideous hag was probably rejected by a gay man back in her high school or college days and she’s never recovered from it and now makes it her mission in life to make LGBT Irish people’s lives miserable too.

Iris is a shamrock Maggie Gallagher.

I’m actually starting to believe that the people who are most vocal against gays have the most secrets to hide. To make up for the fact they’re total sinners they try harder to talk a good game.

I have enjoyed every moment of seeing this odious witch being skewered in the full public glare. She deserves everything that comes her way after the hate-filled crap she’s spewed about gays and lesbians.

Ah Schadenfreude… we don’t really have to do anything about these crazies. Just wait for them to feck up royally all on their own. Poor Mr and Mrs Robinson. I hope among their psychiatrist friends there are specialists in treating their own peculiar brand of nastiness.

The really sad part, however, is that she will probably be forgiven for her “trespasses”, while still being supported for her homophobic stance. :(

apparently the whole show blew up when the relationship was ended…by kirk…and she asked for her money back. and as god and the party has forgiven her her transgression (a momentary failure, as according to her, all gay inclinations are) my crystal ball tells me that she’ll be back, suitably chastened, in a while, to take up the call for a non-gay nothern ireland once again. it’s not so much schadenfreude – i mean, adultery and homosexuality are worlds apart, it’s not comparable. but it is exposed bigotry

Jadis and Romeo, I suspect it will be some time before Straight8 leaves here, as he is probably not yet done jacking off to the pics of hot-looking guys that Queerty posts.

That’s probably what brought him here in the first place. ;P

For this to make the front page of the New York Times, suggests that her husband is the toast normally served with a light smattering of butter. I just don’t see why I should feel sympathy if she takes her own life. Ireland is sinking faster than the rest of the World Economy and this is their “Monica” moment. It’s nice to watch someone else’s train-wreck sometimes, especially when they deserve it!

@Dontblamemeivotedforhilary – this is Northern Ireland not the Republic so you’re off the mark there. This is very important to Northern Ireland and rest of the UK. Someone fond of Leviticus 18 has just gone and fatally undermined so-called Christian moral authority. She was shagging the 19 year old at the same time as calling us vile and disgusting. From now on, no preacher in Northern Ireland can stand up and quote Leviticus without the audience thinking… “what about Iris”. They’ll be laughed at.

Oh how sweet this is….

guys, you have to get your news right, this has nothing to do with the ireland (as in republic) – tho theyre not much better.

iris is/was an mp in the british house of commons and the northern ireland assembly. she was also the first minister/prime minister/president of norther inreland’s wife.

so, to compare: let’s say michele obama one year ago went on david letterman and said all gays were an abomination worse than paedophiles and could be turned straight and a year later she was exposed as having a sexual affair with a 19 year-old, raised money from property developers (under what agreement as a politician we dont know) for his first business, asked for the money back when the relationship ended but not to give back to those who gave it her, but half for herself and half for her husband (the first/prime minister’s) sister’s church! then you are getting close to the the crazy truth of how phenomenal this story is, in a society in the middle of a peace process where the entire government could be brought down by her actions.

then i think you may have an idea of the significance of this story. and, apparently there is more news to come.

makes you think, how many other uncovered/unproven stories there are out there of politicians anywhere!
