OH SNAP — Music star Britney Spears kicked off her Circus tour in New Orleans yesterday, with plenty of lip-syncing, costume changes, and the type of choreography we expect from our pop princess.
I’ve been watching videos of the tour all morning, and reading the various reviews. Looks like Britney is still a “put on a show kind of girl.” From what I’ve seen this tour is probably her best yet. (I really liked her Dream Within a Dream Tour too)
My favorite part (so far) is when she has her male dances do push-ups at the end of the song “Boys” it was really cute.
I would go see this … if she didn’t lipsynch the entire thing … I mean, why would I pay so much money to watch someone dance?! … I would rather go see male strippers.
@David – I think it is totally worth it. It is an EVENT!! LOL I’m excited to see what the VIP merch is. Plus we get the VIP Preshow Party & VIP Back Stage Tour! It is sooo worth it to me.
Britney’s an entertainer, but I could never bring myself to spend the necessary money to see her live. I can’t even bring myself to buy a CD. I can’t even bring myself to illegally download a CD. She has some catchy tunes, but…it’s all kinda empty, isn’t it? I mean, she doesn’t really have anything to say. Come to think of it, the homo mainstream does tend to latch onto artists who exhibit a certain vacuity.

Nice try Brit…kudos to you for attempting to “put on a show”. But I still think you need to study the Queen, Madge, a bit more. And the costuming has potential…but leaves much to be desired.

I think Britney is at a point in her career where she should sing live more. Madonna did it over time.

Yes, but Madonna has voice and personality.

@rigs: My thoughts exactly.
I can’t wait for the Boston show!! My boyfriend would kill me if he knew how much we (or really I) payed for the Toxic VIP experience tickets.
@Sebbe
Those things are expensive! You’re gonna have great seats though! And the VIP merch is very nice IMO.
