The King’s Speech Director Tom Hooper: Filming On Gay Porn Set Was The ‘Right’ Choice

The King’s Speech producer Iain Canning may have been one of only two gay Oscar winners, but with the excellent King George VI film cleaning up on Sunday night, we all know it was a big win for gay (porn). But did director Tom Hooper know what else had been shot on his location? “Everyone seems to be ahead of me on this,” Hooper tells Marc Malkin. “But I mean, is it…is it literally…that room is literally…?” Yes, yes indeed. Either way, says Hopper, “It was the right set for me and it was the right set for them.”
