The Love Of RuPaul’s Life Lives On A Ranch In Wyoming

With a personality as over-the-top as RuPaul‘s, the last place you might expect him to be settling down is Wyoming, the least populous state in the nation. (About as many people live there as on Staten Island.)

But it’s true: RuPaul has an on-again, off-again partner who lives on a ranch in Wyoming.

RuPaul opened up to Access Hollywood, telling them this life partner doesn’t stand at his side during his media blitzes, but is there for him when he needs him:

“There’s a man… we were committed for many years. We split up, but we’ve never really quite split up. He is the love of my life. He has a ranch in Wyoming. As you get older, you realize that sort of the form that relationships take on, ones you grew up with, you grow out of that. You become more relaxed. He is my partner for life, but if I need to have burnt toast with another gentleman other than Jimmy and Judge Judy, then so be it.”

Note that Jimmy is not the name of RuPaul‘s mysterious ranchero, but rather “a stuffed donkey” that Ru says he’s “slept with every night for the past 26 years.”

Drag Race‘s head-queen-in-charge seems to treasure time away in Wyoming with the partner.

“It’s very quiet,” Ru said. “I get to read a lot, I watch a lot of movies. I don’t do any of the hard labor or anything like that.”

No werq for Ru on this farm, eh?

Ru’s partner isn’t a mystery; Access Hollywood just didn’t report on him. His name is Georges LeBar. http://www.thedaily.com/page/2012/02/01/020112-arts-tv-rupaul-1-5/

It’s 2012, It’s okay to date someone outside of your race. What’s the problem Chris? Go rent ‘Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner?’ and relax.

@Chris: What is so “pathetic”? Are you suggesting Ru Paul can only date African American men? Hispanics? Asians? Please explain.

Are you lost? Did you wander over from Stormfront, or something? Yuck. Only racists can be dumb enough to think Denzel Washington is less beautiful than Newt Gingrich.

I guess some people would see RuPaul as abandoning the black race in going for the trophy white boyfriend now that he’s rich. But I suspect (just guessing) RuPaul is kind of way beyond all those “rules” and is just with someone he likes.

Lets be real here about this racist/Hollywood bull.

How many black men are in hollywood? Now, how many of them are gay? Now, finally, how many of them are open about it?

He literally has 2 black men to choose from.

As more black male celeberties come out of the closet and/or enter hollywood openly gay they will 90% of the time be with white guys.

Why? That’s the only thing there to choose from.

Ru, do you. Glad to hear he has someone.

@William: Ru doesn’t have to date a Hollywood celebrity, but good point anyway.

It just seems like a catch 22. Make less money, you’re a gold digger, make more you have a trophy wife. Dress nice: you’re uppity and white people resent you, dress down: you’re a thug.

May as well just love, and be loved.

P.S how does anyone know his race? I have yet to see a photo. How old is he?

I really don’t know anyone who doesn’t like RuPaul…maybe super right-wingers because of the narrow path they’re led down, and their construed mindframe. Ru is neither politically outspoken nor in the spotlight trying for constant press. I was very impressed when he was picked as one of the most influential LGBT people in our society. I hope to be as content as him one day. I find him refreshing whether in or out of drag, and truly inspirational when it comes to loving yourself and who you are. Bravo, Ru!
