The Obama Administration Celebrates Pride By ‘Stonewalling’

Turns out the Obama administration’s decision to take its sweet ass time enacting gay rights legislation (and repealing anti-gay laws) is not an affront to the gay community. In fact, what the White House is doing by waiting is … stonewalling. And aren’t we supposed to be celebrating its 40th anniversary this month?

What do you think of this post?

So let’s get this… uhhh… “straight.”

The president is “too busy” to sign a suspension order stopping the anti-gay military policy, which would take about 5 minutes tops.

The president is “too busy” to call up Reid and Pelosi for 10 minutes and order them, as the leader of his party, to pass legislation repealing DOMA.

But he has plenty of time to have an invitation-only party for the A-gays in the White House.

Is there anyone who is deluded enough and retarded enough to believe his bullshit?

Yeah, they’re called Obama supporters. After all, it was Barry who promised it to them.

Those of us who are calling him out on his bullshit are now being called “deluded” for daring to suggest that he follow through on his campaign commitments.

Queer voters, remember: Obama partisans think you’re deluded for believing them and voting for their candidate.

@Brian Miller: They are part of the PROBLEM, not the solution! A liar is a liar, it is that simple.

@Brian Miller:

You all were ticked at Obama before he ever took office.

Obama has done more for LGBT in 5 months than the last 2 administrations combined. FACT.

I do really enjoy what Colbert and Stewart are able to do with their platform. There will always be those who insist that it just isn’t that simple, when really it is.

@InExile:

Obama has done MANY things to set the groundwork for your equality issues. From @ 100 LGBT people hired for his administration, LGBT Proclamation, Matthew Shepard Act going through, Census, etc.

You all only look at the negative, you all only lash out at him and then want him to act faster. I know I always want to help people who are cutting me down…not.

It amazes me how many people actually thought one man could change the entire political system in Washington DC, by himself in just a few months.
