The U.S. military is apparently worried that gay student groups are hotbeds of terrorist activism. We base this assertion on new information released by the Pentagon, in which they admit to “inappropriately” collecting information from groups such as OUTlaw at NYU law school, and student groups at SUNY Albany and William Patterson College in New Jersey.
The reason for this spying is most likely due to the groups’ work in opposition to “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” rather than any terrorist ties, which means the folks at the Pentagon must not have been surprised when no terrorist activity was discovered. This all begs the question: What were they looking for?

I’m not surprized that G. W. ‘s alma mater, Yale was not mentioned. They have a very vocal and active gay law student group that has been trying to knock down DADT for years.
