Thanks for calling out that hot mess of a montage. I have no idea what the hell I was looking at.
I hope Coco is at home right now, slathering her face in Tang, and blaming Jinkx for all her problems. It seems to be really working for her.

“She literally replaced at least half a sentence with a sound that doesn’t even exist in the English language. And I still kind of understood it.”

i almost choked on my coffee reading that

      Great review!

The montage….we all just figured that they don’t show you the performances so Ru can kick out people she doesn’t like without people saying “But their performance was good.

Coco needed to go, she was unpleasant and not in the “Fun to watch” kind of way. She was like a discount version of the equally unpleasant Shangella when she would say something mean, and then when called on it try to pretend that she either didn’t say it or that wasn’t what she meant. Boring and stupid. Her make-up job on that guy made him look like “The Rock” in a wig.

Roxy seems to be trying to replace Cocco as most annoying. And could the judges stop trying to judge the outfits as if they were on the red carpet? When that guy from FAshion Emergency was going off on somebody’s boots I was wondering if he understood that this is a drag queen and not Amanda Seifried walking the carpet.

      Anyway, venting over, great post!

And thank you Queerty for once AGAIN resorting to a tired ageist joke.

@Bear Aspirin: I can’t speak for the rest of Queerty because I only write this one column, but I sincerely apologize for the ageism. It was certainly a borderline joke, but I meant it in good fun, knowing full well that the person I was talking about would read it. It was intended in the spirit of casual ribbing among friends, and in no way did I hope to demean a group of people whose experience I value and whose contributions to the world have made it possible for me to be who I am today. I was wholly serious in offering to buy Dave a drink. He seems like a peach and has more than his share of great stories to tell.

The age joke was harmless–the eldest contestant himself joked about his age many times thoughout the episode.

I saw Jinx live in NYC at the battle of the seasons show, she is amazing…she can sing….she has comedy chops…she should definitely win….

I like Alaska, but she has to really bring it and I am not sure she can…that long blond wig needs to be replaced….Roxxy did redeem themselves this week, but I don’t think she can bring it home going forward…..

      NO T NO SHADE…..

@Bear Aspirin: I loved the ageist joke. Trust when I look in the mirror every morning I am not seeing a f*$king twink.

@Chris Kelly: You got it. In the mean time go get my novel on Amazon. It’s called Butterfly Dream. Don’t worry, it’s cheap if you get the e-book,

I do get to NYC often so I will keep you to that drink. Just sayin.

I was reading the LOGO message boards and someone wrote “The world would be a nicer place with a lot more Jinx” and I agree. Very moving episode with Dave and Jinxy.

You rocked that challenge, so vivacious – and I’m not kidding!

It was a great episode, thanks so much for sharing your story. It’s ironic how you went in with a goal (that you reached) but left with a little gift in return.

Hey, if you can get to NY July 18, Jinkx is doing a cabaret one night only show of original music with her musical partner (another side gig she does). I don’t know if you heard. The tickets are half sold out, but I’m sure she’ll be doing more of it later. Here’s the link if you’re interested http://www.spincyclenyc.com/index.php/liveperformances/1-live-performances/353-jinkx

This is my second post, the first one went into moderation for the link I had.

It’s the Laurie Beechman Theater. I can’t post the link. Tickets are via Spin Cycle. :)
