Even the unattractive men won't date other unattractive men. So if you don't want to be alone forever, you most likely will seek companionship elsewhere. And after doing that, why not get back at the community that rejected you so harshly? I think we need to accept responisibilty for the ex-gay movement as well, since it plays on many of the insecurities that exist in our community, that we create ourselves and dump on others nystudman, maybe it’s because in the gay community, if you’re not a ten, you spend a lot of nights alone. The conservative church could care less about orientation or depression, they just want you to keep it in your pants. I go to an MCC church myself and love it. Many in the religious community deal with homosexuality both in theory or reality. Many in the Seoul Gay Christian group I went to (when I lived there) had tried the theraphy that is discussed above and that I assume Haggard has gone through.
