Thems Orientals Makes Great Punchlines!

We forgot about or repressed all memory of this overtly offensive Super Bowl commercial. Thankfully Mollygood’s Cord Jefferson reminded us that Asian racism still exists!

Yes I was TOTALLY FUCKING SHOCKED at this commercial. We had to stop it and because we didn’t believe our eyes. The whole thing was grotesque (I started to list what offended me but it became too long of a list!

Wow! Really stupid and kind of racist. I’m surprised there hasn’t been more backlash about this (then again I guess salesgenie.com isn’t exactly Pepsi)

Other than “back to the zoo” I see little racism. Are they not just giving the characters, well, character?

What was racist about it? The accents? So what if they had actually used real Chinese immigrants as the voices – would that have been racist then?

Is Apu on the Simpson’s racist?

Maybe the reason its not getting much attention is because all of your over sensitive pc meters are out of sync.

Racist, shmacist, it’s just a lousy ad. Can’t even tell what it’s selling.
