I'd like to congratulate you on the birth of your first child, Susan, and now on your newly impending birth to baby #2. I'm not sure why they're making such a fuss over a loving couple who will love their family. Isn't that what parenthood is all about? Two people loving each other, and sharing that love with their children?
People making a big deal over this, should not only examine the love in their own families, but think twice about why this concept of "FAMILY" is truly upsetting you. God made each and every one of us to live our lives & be happy about doing so.

Why is this news?!? It's not like there's a fetus gestating in his scrotum. Call yourself what you want, but IMHO, if you are currently using your ovaries, uterus and vaginal canal. You are a woman.
I find it so ironic that the people who have decried the backlash at black folk for "becoming the oppressors" – have become the oppressors themselves – at trans folk. Shame on you! If Beattie identifies as a man, then he's a man, period. What he does with his body should have no bearing on that.
