Thought of the Day: Suze Orman

"In my opinion it is such a travesty that, a few months ago, Proposition 8, in California, passed. Proposition 2, in Florida, passed. What is that about, everybody? We are taking away a birthright, if you ask me, for people to get the most out of the money that they have spent their lives working. Those people are making money. They pay taxes on the money. Every single one of us deserves to have the same financial benefits whether we are gay or whether we are straight. And therefore, we have got to do everything we can to turn that around. Every single one of us deserves to be loved. Every single one of us deserves to love. And every single one of us deserves to make the most of the money that we have. That’s my Valentine’s Day wish for every single one of us." —Openly gay MSNBC financial expert Suze Orman on what she wished for this Valentine's Day

She's pretty cool for an orange person.

I've always loved her. Her "Can I afford it?" segments are hilarious.

This is why I like and respect the woman. She says it likes it is. I pray that her Valentines Day wish comes true for ALL of us!

I have a question. It is great to hear her speak about Prop 8 now, but did she do anything to prevent its passage? I watched her financial presentations on PBS and read about her in a number of magazines over the years and never read anything about her being Gay until maybe a year ago. Just curious.

@jaroslaw – i tried to email you back, but your mailbox is full. I will try again to forward later.

I always assumed she lived in NYC, but wikipedia says she actually lives in SanFran and Florida. She has only been "out" for a year or two. I fear many people gay and allies just assumed that its Cali, how could it pass and therefore did not do enough. A good lesson to be learned unfortunately to late.
