Three gophers have been suspended for their involvement in the creation of two graphic sex tapes, CBS reports.
Well, three basketball players on the University of Minnesota’s Golden Gophers — freshmen Kevin Dorsey and Dupree McBrayer, and sophomore Nate Mason.
Comments on the message board website Gopherhole.com (ha) revealed that Dorsey posted the tapes to his Twitter account on Friday. His account has since been deleted altogether.

So what’s on the tapes, you surely ask?
One fan who goes by the handle “die hard gopher” (also, ha) claims to have seen the videos, which he says depict two men having sex with one woman. The man/man combo is different in each video, as are the women.
He said that in one, Dorsey is clearly visible: “You could clearly see his face although he is the only one that I could see. Both videos were extremely graphic.”

While no crimes appear to have been committed, head coach Richard Pitino released this statement:
“There are expectations and standards to which we hold our student-athletes accountable, and they have failed to do so.”
Sounds like some quality team-building if you ask us.

And his dad’s team, Louisville, suspended itself for hiring hookers for the players. His dad admitted to seeing hookers at away games. So if your last name is Pitino, your middle name is always Hooker. And the NCAA will not do a thing. The both should be banned from NBA and the NCAA, any sport. BTW, I am not a prude but these are Universities. CEOs would be gone and banned if it was a regular business.

Why is this on Queerty? If the sex was consensual and all they violated was a code of conduct policy for their team, how does that qualify as gay news? @Kangol: I thought I was the only one who noticed the bigoted patterns Queerty insists on perpetuating. On any given day, the only stories featuring Black people will fall under some negative connotation. Or it will be a drag queen.

@Black Pegasus: So glad I’m not the only one who noticed this pattern. For about a week during Black History Month there were 2-3 positive articles, and before that, some posts feature attractive black and brown guys. But so often it’s negativity. And with other people of color, like Asian Americans, Native Americans, Arab guys, etc., there’s almost nothing at all if it’s not negative. Is this because of the need for page views and click throughs?

@Kangol: I agree – there seems to be a double standard in the reporting – as if to imply black people are the most homophobic, most reckless with HIV, etc. I don’t think some editors even realize they do this, it’s become so common.

That was funny. Thanks for making my day. I wonder if they pulled off their basketball shorts while filming it? Have you noticed how many are damn near fully clothed over on Worldstarhiphop.com or on myvidster.com? Not that I have looked, mind you. I just heard thats how some of them appear in the videos (their pants pulled down only so far). But of course I never knowingly looked at any of them.
