TMZ: Chaz Bono Calls Off Engagement To Girlfriend Jennifer Elia

We thought Chaz Bono had really been accepted as a mainstream celebrity when he got a slot on Dancing With the Stars, but now he’s done something to cement his place as another run-of-the-mill Hollywood scion: He’s announced he and fiancée  Jennifer Elia have called off their engagement and “are no longer a couple,” according to TMZ.

Howard Bragman, Bono’s PR flak, tells TMZ, that the two “leave this relationship with great love, respect and affection toward one another.” After more than a decade dating, Bono proposed to Elia earlier this year during filming of his series, Being Chaz.

Wait, a trumped-up proposal for the sake of a reality show? Chaz is on his way to dethroning Kim Kardashian as America’s sweetheart!
