Colle Carpenter, the transgender graduate student assaulted this month in a campus bathroom, and whose attacker carved the word “It” into his chest, doesn’t want you hating on California State University, Long Beach, for what was supposedly a lax reaction following the attack.

While Gender Justice LA noted “It took nearly 8 days for the University to release ANY NEWS regarding the attack” and called for a rally to “show CSULB that they cannot forget about our community and they cannot they cannot sweep an attack like this under the rug,” Carpenter says, “again, I feel that the administration’s response has been focused on the investigation and my well-being.”
