On last night’s True Blood, we met the vampire gays. They are non-living versions of Martha Stewart who drink blood. (Warning: Spoilers ahead, and in video above.)
In gallops Russell Edgington, the Vampire King of Mississippi (played by Denis O’Hare), who takes (kidnaps?) vampire Bill to his gorgeous estate, where his lover Talbot (played by Theo Alexander) awaits to escort Bill to his beautifully appointed suite.
Look at all the adornments! The courtesy and etiquette seeping from Russell and Talbot’s veins! Classical music playing upon arrival! And we didn’t even get to their little dinner party yet.
How refreshing to know that even when we’re dead, we’ll still be able to entertain guests.

True Blood’s Hot Gay Vampire-Shape Shifter Shower Scene
And remember – it looks like these ‘aristocratic’ vampires are the ones Eric and Godrick were hunting in the flashback sequence. i.e., these 2 ‘fabulous’ gays run an organization of ‘Nazi Werewolves’. I don’t think the fabs are going to turn out to be the good guys.
Hmm, I can’t believe I just posted a comment about fabulous vampires, nazi werewolves, and flashback sequences. Yes, this show has its teeth in me.

@D’oh, The Magnificent: Albeit I am a Gay male practicing Witch, I am simply curious (in a sincerely interested fashion) on what you base your substantiation? Novels? TV? Non-Fiction books? Actual Gay male Witches? Again, just curious… I’m a rather analytical sort. :o)

@D’oh, The Magnificent: I think you mean, “Sookeh”. Apparently Sookie even makes fun of it!
@Wade MacMorrighan: I believe Talbot and Russell are an actual couple (at least, they were in the book); no idea about their actors, if that’s what you’re referring to.

@Wade MacMorrighan: I am actually using the term really loosely here to include shamanism (traditional practices of native cultures around the world like the tradition of Siberian shamans as far as I understand it)
http://www.glbtq.com/social-sc.....anism.html
And other traditions (mixed faiths like Voodoo see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L.....and_Voodoo).
I know the complications of my argument in regards to Wiccans, etc (which is more aligned with what the books cover). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGBT_topics_and_Wicca
I was just pointing out that there is a place in these faiths or grouping of faiths for a gay character to be one of them. It would be especially cool to see this because that’s so rarely covered except for Willow in Buffy the Vampire slayer.
As for the marriage, for vampires, these are political arrangement rather than those for the purpose of relationships.
They marry to gain power like fiefdoms would in feudal times. That’s why the vampire king mentions the comparison to vampire politics being like that of the middle ages, and I suspect it is why we saw the flash back to the Nazi werewolves and discover that the symbols are actually ancient. Some sort of ancient feudal warfare that’s pretty old for which Eric is involved as is the vampire king. Which makes sense that they would carry grudges for centuries.
I suspect the Vampire kings man will be killed at the end of the season as some sort of retribution since Ball has made it clear that he wants the vampire king around beyond this season- so I am trying to guess how they are going to have the main villain (if that turns out be the vampire king and the fact he’s hating on sookie suggest it is) harmed for his actions in the show.

It once belonged to Countess Elizabeth Bathory…who I found out about while playing that Nightmare board game. (Remember that!)
