Turkey + Montenegro: Fix Your LGBT Rights Record If You Want To Join The EU

If Turkey and Montenegro want to join the European Union, they’re gonna have to shape the hell up on LGBT rights, the European Parliament warned them this month. Turkey must “ensure that equality, regardless of sex … or sexual orientation, is guaranteed by the law and effectively enforced,” while Montenegro, which technically bans discrimination against our community, it’s still alive and well “including on the part of state authorities.”
