Spoken like somebody with a huge amount of inherited wealth and who's never done a meaningful day's work in their life that matters on any real level. After all, it's much more important that you be in the financial position to purchase another Picasso to hang in your guest bathroom than for someone making $40,000 a year to be able to afford health care for their family.

PS. Don't forget to say a prayer to your great god Capitalism thanking it for that tax free environment that allowed Big Business to "hire and hire and hire away" in India while the unemployment rate in the US hit a new high.

RPCV, sounds like you value party over country. I would hope that wouldn't be the case. You are a one-issue candidate, your one issue is to make sure you never vote Democratic.

Dubwise, I don't get your point. I'm a proud Republican who can say that I've NEVER voted for a Democratic candidate. I'm not a one-issue candidate, i.e., gay rights. I proudly support the notions of limited federal government, state's rights for anything not specifically mentioned in the Constitution (e.g., abortion), tax free environments for big business in order for them to hire and hire and hire away, justices who interpret the Constitution instead of using their position as a platform to make law, and the establishment and use of the strongest national defense we can muster. Totally contrary to the mentality of democrats who are, to a person, bleeding heart "lets have the government solve everything" liberals.

Folks, don't fall for this. Remember, it was a Karl Rove tactic to say John McCain had an illigitimate black child when he ran against Bush in 2000?

We are now witnessing Rove-like tactics being conducted against Obama as evidenced by the flood of posts by the same few individuals who are claiming that Obama supporters are offending Clinton and her supporters.

This disgusting tactic is all the more reason to vote for Obama in November. It sends the message to the bastards to shove it.

RPCV: And you Dems think Republicans have a sick house?? Look in the mirror.

Having said that. Most everything you have said and have inferred about any Democratic candidate has suddenly become suspect. Why should anyone listen to someone who does not even consider themselves a member of the party? Troll on!

I'm still missing the part where Obama supporters are responsible for "making nice" in order to get other Democrats to support the candidate that their own choice (Clinton) is now backing.

I'm all for keeping the peace, really, but come on... You should vote for Obama because his platform is damn close to Clinton's, not McCain's because you're miffed at the other dems.

Message to Hateful Obama Supporters: You Are On Notice

It has become increasingly apparent that even in seeming victory, many Obama supporters do not understand the meaning of "grace" and prefer to continue to engage in their intimidation tactics.

I personally, and many of my friends, have been the targets of this intimidation, on our Facebook walls and inboxes, email accounts, over the phone, and face-to-face. The Hillary for President - One Million STRONG group has endured and continues to endure an onslaught of angry and vicious and self-righteous Obama supporters. They call us names (bitter, bitch, crazed feminist, cunt, whore, traitor, etc), impugn our intelligence, accuse us of racism and even worse motives, and continue to vehemently and irrationally attack Senator Clinton. Most recently, one Obama supporters, "seeking unity" decided to post a pornographic video in our video section.

I would have tolerated this, for during the election cycle, I have become used to the hateful tactics of many Obama supporters. However, today, they crossed the line.

A friend of mine, and political mentor, Angela, like many of Hillary's most outspoken and hard working supporters, is being targeted by hateful Obama supporters.

For those of you who don't know, Angela was the 7th District Campaign Coordinator for Hillary Clinton for President. She was a tireless worker for Hillary, and was ultimately elected to be an at-large delegate from Missouri to the Democratic National Committee Convention in Denver. In the time that I have known her she has never said a bad word against anyone and has always been willing to help others in any way she could.

Today, it was brought to my attention that she has been receiving hateful and intimidating emails. The following bothered her the most, and so she chose to share it [emphasis mine]:

    Angie baby,

You just don't know when to quit do you? I'm wondering if youre just some feminist Clinton supporter or are you truely a Democrat? After reading what you said in the paper, i'm wondering if you know when it's time to shut the hell up and get in line behind Obama or are you like thousands of others who want Obama to lose so that Clinton can run again? Your words and actions make people SICK!. People think you're a bitch due to the way you treat fellow democrats. You didn't realize that did you? Stop being so fake and act like a REAL Democrat...

    -The six million dollar man...

_________________________________________________

For the skeptical, who are inclined to agree with this coward, and are wondering what Angele said in the paper, here ya go:

"Whether or not Hillary Clinton concedes the nomination ... it's my plan and contention to go to the national convention and cast my vote for Hillary Clinton," said [Angela], a Springfield bankruptcy attorney. "As an elected delegate, there's a lot of people in the state of Missouri who counted on me to do that."

Apparently, this is what made the One Cent Coward "SICK." This woman was elected by fellow Hillary supporters to go to the Convention and cast her ballot for Hillary, and I for one (who happened to have voted for her) am thankful that still intends to do so. It should be noted that NOT ONCE has Angela ever indicated she would not vote for Obama in November. NEVER! Indeed she has offered to talk with those who are considering voting for McCain in an effort to change their minds.

This kind of behavior is not only reprehensible and disgusting, it is sexist and demeaning. Further, since when are feminist not allowed into the Democratic Party? Since when are people told to "shut the hell up and get in line"?

NEWS FLASH: Calling someone a "bitch," and telling them to "shut the hell up and fall in line" is not the way to bring about party unity. These kinds of tactics and actions are common in abusive relationships and will do nothing more than encourage or force people to leave.

But perhaps their plan for achieving the much lauded "party unity" requires the removal of all of Hillary's supporters from the party (I've heard it before). If so, please continue your disgusting behavior. I assure you, it will achieve your aims.

For those Obama supporters who are as offended and disgusted as I am at this kind of vitriol, I urge you to handle these individuals and let them know their behavior will not be tolerated. If you do not, you tacitly support it, and the Party's undoing, in part, will be your responsibility.

It amazes me how many soothsayers that show up in these threads. It's a lot of people reacting to the shadows their fires cast on the walls of their caves. I'm talking about both sides of this argument.

"...can you imagine the sermon you missed about gays by Reverand Wright?"

Also, Obama's church has a singles ministry for single members, including "same gender loving" ones.

Obama is a phenom right now. Just like what happened with Miley Cyrus, some video or tape will appear from nowhere and all those "grasping for change" democrats will hide their collective heads in shame for having bought the Obama Kool-Aid.

I predict McCain in a landslide, Thank God and/or whatever other higher spirit there is out there......

Any Gay person that would even consider voting for Obama really needs to get their or somebody else's head out of their collective asses. With him as a President any advances that have been made over the 50 years will be wiped out in the first year. Do you not know how Black preachers talk about Gay people or know how Blacks in general belittle and make fun of gays? They are not going to share their advances with any other groups be it gays or women. As a group they are the most anti-gay faction in American society. It amazes me how he has bamboozled America's college students to believe he can bring anybody or anything together. His supporters are Black and people who live in Idaho and Oregon, who have never seen a black person. Wake up people before everybody gets shipped off to Iran to enjoy the type of Gay life his Muslim teachers have suggested for all Gay people. You all saw the not so reverand Wright's sermon about America, can you imagine the sermon you missed about gays by Reverand Wright. Obama attended church there for 20 years, although he claims to have had amnesia during that era.

Has the term "Obamanut" not graced your ears? How about "Obamabot", "kool-aid drinkers", or any of the other overused insults from the Hillary followers? Let's keep it real. The pettiness goes both ways.

The amount of people who supported Clinton who will vote for McCain is vanishingly small. So, I say let them do whatever they want. As I was told by a frend (who is an actual Republican by the way- just a moderate one): If you keep arguing with pigs in shit, you only end up with shit on you. That's why arguing with the people saying they are going to vote for McCain , against the interest in CLinton herself, aren't worth our time.

If any Clinton supporter wants to vote for McCain than just fucking shut up and vote for him already. I mean, it's like you want somebody on this forum to beg you not to vote for a Republican or something. Who cares?

PS. If you love Hillary so fucking much then why don't you, as a member of her 18 million+ "army," go to her website and donate a dollar to help pay off her debt so Obama doesn't get stuck with it.

Matt, the Evangelicals are having problems with McCain because of his history and his flip-flops. He pro-right to choose on abortion, now he's against it. At one time he was a promoter of an amendment to ban gay marriage, now not so much. During his last race for the Presidential nomination he described Falwell and Robertson, et al as divisive haters. He had problems with Bob Jones University racial policies, now Bob Jones University is a good place to speak. Now McCain thinks they're great religious leaders and wants their support. They don't trust him. Additionally, Bush had the evil genius Rove who knew how to manipulate the Christian Right and played them like a tambourine. They also know they've been played and are angry. After two terms of Bush with few of the promises he made to the Evangelicals fulfilled, they're not likely to buy into McCain's obvious pandering. Now he's broken with Hagee, Parsley and Dobson, who all have decided to oppose McCain's candidacy. Will McCain get Evangelical votes? No doubt. But not in anywhere near the numbers Bush did.

I've been reading some of your posts and my impression is you're a very young man. A teenager perhaps? If you are and I've been rude, I apologize. I tend to not tolerate adults who are so politically naive. I'm an older guy and have reached a point in life where I no longer suffer fools gladly. That is not to imply that you are a fool, I don't expect young people to be as worldly as some of the older folks who post here, so forgive me if I seemed a little short with you.

Mind Over Matter -- you so funny! Seriously, if you're offering a blowjob, I think I'll have to pass.
And want proof of why the Obamatons should at least treat Hillary's supporters with some shred of decency and respect? Check this out: www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/06/05/campaign.wrap/index.html. You know, with a race this close, you need all the votes you can get. If even 5% of Hillary's 18 million supporters stay home, that's a loss of nearly 1 million votes. If they vote for McCain, that's a 2 million vote swing (minus 1 million from Obama, plus 1 million for McCain). Yeah, go on and continue to insult us and act oh-so superior. Smart move when you clearly need our support. Sheesh, I feel like I'm talking to children!

Obama has the nomination. He gave an incredible acceptance speech. He is an awesome candidate.
Democrats are very lucky to have him.

Hillary Clinton lost. Let her be. She will go back to be a Senator and if folks there don't like her, they will vote her out.

Why is the Obama vs Clinton issue still being discussed and fought over? I know the pussy pundits are trying to keep it going so they get more face time.

But as my dear friend Rodney King says (when he is not on crack) "why can't we all just get along"?

Ok Bob, you win. I am an Obama supporter and I am sorry for all the awful, mean things Obama supporters have said on this site and others. I understand you are a true Democrat and although your candidate did not win, you will support the Party and vote for Obama in November. Thank you. And you can personally call on me to comfort you all the way to November if that helps you through this obviously difficult time.

But please do me one favor, will you please stop this entitlement bullshit about how Obama suporters should beg you to support him. Either you are a Democrat or you are not. Either you have legitimate reasons to oppose his candidacy or you don't. But please don't expect a wet, slurpy blowjob just to get you to do what is expected of every Democrat...and that is to suppport your Party's candidate.

Sheesh...I feel like I am talking to children.

Keep going EMB. You're making it so much easier for Hillary supporters to sit out the election. Seriously, how fucking stupid are you people? Yeah, let's continue to insult folks as much as we can and then expect them to vote for the person we demand they vote for. That sounds like a winning plan! Yes, Obama won the primaries. Barely. Does that mean he automatically gets Hillary's votes? Nope. Whether you like it or not, you need us to win in November. Deal with it. Your candidate has. Why the hell can't you?

MATT:I also don’t believe that just because you say Hagee loves him that all the other Evangelicals do.I mean Rush, Hannity, and others love Bush but they hate McCain.

I don't just say it. Hagee did publicly throw his (considerable)Evangelical© weight behind McCain. I also don't believe that Rush and Hannity are considered Evangelicals©. Conservative yes, Evangelical© no.

You are right though, not all evangelicals like him...but not all evangelicals are conservative....some are actaully liberal.

MATT:I also don’t believe that just because you say Hagee loves him that all the other Evangelicals do.I mean Rush, Hannity, and others love Bush but they hate McCain.

As you call us "idiots, racists, or spoiled fucking brats who are trying to ruin things for Barack Obama."

Someone is calling us AMERICANS!

To: Deec4

From: Senator Joe Lieberman

Date: June 5th, 2008

Today, I asked Senator McCain if I could create and chair a new grassroots organization, "Citizens for McCain."

Citizens for McCain is an organization within the McCain campaign for people who put country before political party and support the candidate for President who has a proven record of bipartisanship.

As you know, I caucus with the Democrats as a United States Senator and was the Democrat Party's nominee for Vice-President of the United States against President Bush and Vice President Cheney.

But first and foremost, I am an American. I have an obligation to do what I think is best for our nation regardless of political party. My love for this country and strong belief in John McCain's character, judgment, and willingness to work with leaders of both parties has convinced me to support him for President.

I have worked with John McCain for many years in the U.S. Senate and know from experience that he can unite Democrats, Republicans and Independents like no one else in this country. He did it in the United States Senate and he can do it as President of the United States.

But we need help from McCain supporters such as you to reach out to Americans who are not currently involved in the campaign. Will you help us by recruiting your friends, family, and co-workers who may not consider themselves members of the Republican Party and ask them to join the Citizens for McCain organization?

I am confident we will find many Democrats and Independents who, like John McCain and me, put country before political party and will support a leader with a real record of bipartisanship.

Time and time again John McCain has put his country first. He refused early release when he was held captive in Vietnam. He continued to put his country first as a national leader in the U.S. Senate. He put country before party when he fought to pass campaign finance reform, sought a bi-partisan solution to the immigration problem, and consistently supported pro-environment policies. His courage to stand up to the failed Iraq war plan of Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and lead the fight for a new strategy in Iraq will go down in history, and it saved American lives. These were not always the easy things to do. In fact, they were usually very difficult, and often threatened his political career. But John McCain did what was right.

He said it best in his speech in New Orleans on Tuesday night:

"(The American people) know I have a long record of bipartisan problem solving. They've seen me put our country before any President -- before any party -- before any special interest -- before my own interest. They might think me an imperfect servant of our country, which I surely am. But I am her servant first, last and always."

The phones at the campaign headquarters have been ringing with disaffected Democrats calling to say they believe Senator McCain has the experience, judgment, and bipartisanship necessary to lead our country in these difficult times. Many of these supporters are former supporters of Senator Clinton.

Senator McCain has had a very good working relationship with Senator Clinton and will continue to do so in the future. In the same New Orleans speech he said:

"Senator Clinton has earned great respect for her tenacity and courage. The media often overlooked how compassionately she spoke to the concerns and dreams of millions of Americans, and she deserves a lot more appreciation than she sometimes received. As the father of three daughters, I owe her a debt for inspiring millions of women to believe there is no opportunity in this great country beyond their reach. I am proud to call her my friend."

I am proud to call John McCain my friend and ask you to help our friend become the next President of the United States.

Please forward this email to your lists today and ask your friends, family, and coworkers who do not consider themselves Republicans to join me in filling out the Citizens for McCain form today.

Thank you for your willingness to help me expand this new organization. Together, we will make history.

Matt:If McBush, as you call him, is so Mr. Bush then why are the Evangelicals having such a problem with him? The Evangelicals loved George Bush.

Never mind Hagee and that other Evangelical© douch that have thrown their support behind him. try again.

EMB:So let’s stop pointing fingers and pouting and raging self-righteously, folks, and focus on keeping Grampy’s nominees off the Supreme Court, OK?

Matt, I call him McBush because he and GW have become joined at the hip. This man is 95% Bush. Look at his record. Listen to him speak. Where does he differ from Bush? He's all but admitted he'll be running for Bush's third term. If calling McCain McBush seems immature to you and also unintelligent, you who I'm sure at all times must be the epitome of maturity, too bad. But, with all the arguments I make to your faulty assumptions your only comeback is "calling McCain McBush doesn't seem intelligent or mature". I think you're the one with a discernible lack of intelligence and facts as evidenced by your post. Go do some reading and research or piss off.

So on the one hand we have JC who says “i find it funny how obama supporters think its their god-given right that hillary supporters line up behind obama regardless.” Then there's Bob with "Ahhh, the Obamatons continue to attack Hillary’s supporters. Seriously, do you stupid people WANT our votes or not? Cuz constantly berating us even after your candidate has won is a really piss-poor way to go about it. Clinton voters are not obligated to worship at the Obama altar. If you want our votes, maybe you should follow your candidate’s lead and act like grown ups."

Excuse me, Bob, but it seems, contrary to HC's continued self-delusion, that Obama actaully won this one. The only reason anyone's still talking about Hillary is that she was personally graceless and politically vicious even at the end of her campaign (Now MAYBE she'll concede on Saturday) and her supporters are attacking Obama's character, the validity of his election, and threatening loudly to take their marbles and vote for McCain.

So let's stop pointing fingers and pouting and raging self-righteously, folks, and focus on keeping Grampy's nominees off the Supreme Court, OK?
