Thank you Queerty for doing this series of study/report. Since it is impossible to visit and know about the gay angle of each State on our own, I commend you for doing this for us in case some of us might want to change our locations.

So what are job prospects out there in health related fields? Do they pay well to cover the cost of living? Or is it like NY where all the money one makes goes to paying rent? I could see myself moving there. Sounds like my kind of "town"--kinda laid back and not in your face like NY. Anybody know, who lives/lived there? The writer of this article, perhaps?

RE: How did Vermont wind up with a Republican governor who would veto the country's first legislative passage of gay marriage?

Sorry, but here in CA The Schwarz not once but twice terminated gay marriage bills ("it's up to the courts to decide") sent to him from the bitterly partisan state legislature. Unlike VT, there was no hope of overriding the vetoes.

Way to go Vermont! Puts New York state to shame! We'll have a far harder time getting marriage equality passed in our state with three very conservative hate-mongering democrats vowing to vote with rethuglicans to defeat it.

Thanks for the recognition of our great state... but...

The Cattle Co. has be closed for several years. Just call the number you listed and you'll hear it's been disconnected.

We now have Two Friends Bistro in South Burlington that just opened two months ago and is seeing proof that people, at least we here in Vermont, DO need a gay bar, and will support one.

Trust me, I know where the bars are...
