United States Of Tara: What Marshall + Lionel Did With Their Video Camera

When we saw last week that Marshall and Lionel got their hands on a video camera, I immediately assumed there was going to be some teenage sex taping going on. But this week we find out the cute couple have added a third to their group’a'gays via film class. And what, pray tell, are these young gents going to produce for their expectant teacher? Oh, just a violent period piece.

Lionel is all sorts of wrong gay for this show.

I stopped watching because of him.

I also disliked Lionel for ruining the interesting gay couple that took a shine to Marshall.

Am I the only one that doesn’t like this show and the depiction of the gay male characters? Especially the episode when Marshall goes off on Lionel for being “too gay” and then saying “I dont walk gay, i dont talk gay” and him saying Lionel ruins things for gay people

I think Diabo Cody was a real bitch for that scene. It made me want to punch her

She pretends she is open minded but in reality her show is an excuse to put different types of Gays against each other

@Shaquita and you’re going to pretend that gays don’t actually turn on each other for stuff like that? I think the writer (because Cody is just a creator of the show, no guarantee she wrote the episode in question) is hitting a little too close to the truth for your comfort level there…

@Tyler T.: In fact, it is likely that Cody DIDN’T write that episode because apparently she stepped down a bit as a writer during the second season.
