Supporters of Salina, Kansas-based Republican Kathy Martin, who sits on her local Education Board, sent out fliers recently reminding voters that her opponent, Democrat Christopher Renner, is gay. We suppose she thinks the possibility of a gay man on an education board could help panic some votes her way. [Salina Journal]
