As we reported yesterday, JoJo Simmons let loose a torrent of anti-gay and anti-trans vitriol on his Twitter feed after trans woman Julisa Abad posted comments that he had contacted and arranged to meet her.
Well, GLAAD reached out to Simmons, son of hip-hop pioneer Rev. Run, and he’s apologized.
“Sorry to my fans & LGBT community for how I handled the recent situation. Using anti-gay & anti-transgender slurs is wrong.”
We hope Rev Run gave you a stern talking to, JoJo.

Well I KNOW Julisa PERSONALLY! She is a very sweet person and she has ALWAYS been up front about who and what she is! This is a clear case of another public figure who got caught and is embarrassed that his lil secret is out! It happens but because the black community still looks down at alternative lifestyles JoJos antics are looked at as acceptable in the eyes of many! God made us ALL different and He NEVER makes mistakes, so for those who are bashing the LGBT community KNOW that the ways of man are in the eyes of the Lord and you will have to answer for your misdeeds on judgement day! I will continue to support Julisa as a friend, and I still have love for JoJo Simmons as well……
