@ Churchill-y. "by a non-black South African court". That's just not true. The extension of marriage to all South Africans, regardless of sexual orientation, was ordered by the Constitutional Court (our highest court). Since 1994, most members of this 11-member court have been black people. The current chief justice and the deputy chief justice are both black.

And the necessary amendments to legislation were passed by our mostly-black parliament. And signed into law by our black president.
