Well, lets see. Let us just change a couple words here. “The state (ahem, Gov. Herbert) is arguing that the federal decision to allow (freedom for slaves)is an “unlawful injunction” that infringes upon Utah’s right to enforce its own laws.
Yep. Sounds right.
And Utah did allow slavery, I read a while back, so you’re on target.
This too shall pass, but we should try to support the same-sex couples in Utah in every way they ask and need us to. They are not alone, and marriage equality will continue to become the law of the land.
