Progress perhaps, but Buttars can’t be trusted. I’d speculate, judging from his remarks and the speach mormon apostle Dalin Oaks made a few weeks ago that our activism is bearing fruit. Pushing back against their bigotry in various ways, from protests to closed door negotiation is begining to make the point, it’s an oldie but a goody, We’re here, we’re queer, get used to it. Keep up the chatter now. I won’t be satisfied till they say “your sexuality is none of our concern”. Then I’ll stop sending them mental pictures of me stuffing things down their throats.

One of these days, one of the Mormon “Apostles” will get a “Revelation” from God, to the effect that:
1. He (the appostle) is gay; and
2. The Mormon church should stop discriminating against gays.

(While I was typing that, I unintentionally misspelled “Mormon”, leaving out the second m. It seemed appropriate.)

Phony Mormons. This is PR. It’s actually NOT progress for us to be identified as a “protected class” or “minority.” It just reaffirms that we are defective.

Mormons have said “don’t discriminate against the gays, but hate them because they threaten civilization.”

It’s a very clever approach by the anti-gay, Christian nut-jobs. I bet Mit Romney had something to do with it.
