Vamos a la Playita

Quepos

One of the loveliest gay destinations in Costa Rica is the Hotel Villa Roca. Homo owned and operated, it is situated on the country’s central Pacific Coast and affords breath-taking views of the ocean and the rainforest. In-room spa service is available; the locale’s gardens are frequented by hummingbirds. In addition to regular rooms, the resort offers larger apartments with kitchens.

The Hotel Villa Roca is close to the Manuel Antonio National Park, where if you don’t see a yellow-crowned night heron, you will see either a gray-headed chacalaca or a pectoral plover. One short walk and you can be sporting your Emilio Pucci bathing suit, or nothing, on “La Playita,” Central America’s #1 gay, white-sand beach. Among possible day-trips are white-water rafting adventures and jet ski safaris during which you will see dolphins, sea turtles and flying fish. The nearby city of Quepos, a hub for the local gay community, has world-class shopping and night-life.
